- • Serve as a Senior Product Engineer within a team of over 200 engineers, contributing to the development and innovation of Lendable’s core fintech products including loans, credit cards, and car finance.
- • Build and integrate new APIs that directly enhance the customer journey, ensuring seamless and fast financial product delivery in minutes rather than days.
- • Work on optimizing and evolving Lendable’s lending platforms using modern PHP 8.0+ and Symfony framework, applying best practices and latest PHP features.
- • Participate in deep architectural discussions to shape the future direction of Lendable’s technology stack and product roadmap.
- • Design and implement domain-driven systems using message-driven architectures and event sourcing principles where applicable.
- • Develop and maintain microservices within a financial technology environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- • Write and maintain robust automated tests using PHPUnit and Behat to ensure high-quality, production-ready code with strong test coverage.
- • Deploy code to production daily via GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, embracing a continuous integration and continuous deployment culture.
- • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to solve complex problems with resourceful, data-informed solutions that challenge the status quo.
- • Take full ownership of features and systems from conception through deployment and iteration, making decisions with material impact on business outcomes.
- • Engage in a highly collaborative engineering culture that values learning, idea-sharing, and autonomous problem-solving.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Lendable’s tech stack, which includes AWS, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- • Work in a fast-growing, profitable fintech company that has been recognized as one of the UK’s fastest-growing tech firms and a unicorn with over 700 employees.
- • Support the expansion of Lendable’s operations into the UK and US markets, building technology to disrupt traditional banking systems with superior customer experiences.

🎯 Requirements
- • Strong modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ required)
- • Proficiency with a modern PHP framework such as Symfony or Laravel
- • Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, functional) using PHPUnit and Behat
- • Familiarity with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, or Event Sourcing
- • Experience working with microservices architecture and financial systems
- • High degree of ownership, autonomy, and collaborative mindset
