📋 Description

• Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, including Hivemind autonomy software, V-BAT, and X-BAT aircraft, ensuring alignment with mission-critical defense objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, logistics, sustainment, operations, subcontractors, and financial teams to coordinate cross-functional execution and resolve interdepartmental dependencies.
• Drive disciplined program execution against aggressive timelines and technical milestones in a high-growth, fast-paced defense-tech environment.
• Manage program budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure financial accountability and on-time delivery of hardware and software capabilities.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to oversee procurement, integration, and performance of third-party components critical to UAV system functionality.
• Translate operational requirements from military and civilian stakeholders into actionable program plans and technical specifications.
• Monitor program risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain schedule integrity and mission readiness across global deployments.
• Ensure compliance with defense industry standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory frameworks governing UAV development and deployment.
• Facilitate regular program reviews with internal leadership and external partners to communicate progress, challenges, and strategic adjustments.
• Champion innovation and accountability across teams, fostering a culture where mission impact drives decision-making and technical excellence.
• Support the deployment of UAV systems in operational theaters across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, coordinating logistics and sustainment efforts.
• Maintain clear documentation of program milestones, deliverables, and decision trails to support audit readiness and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with product and engineering leads to align roadmap priorities with program deliverables and customer needs.
• Represent Shield AI in technical and programmatic discussions with government agencies, defense contractors, and international partners.
• Adapt quickly to evolving mission requirements and emerging threats, ensuring program flexibility without compromising quality or safety.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience managing complex defense or aerospace programs involving UAVs, autonomous systems, or similar hardware-software integrations
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, logistics, subcontractor management, and financial execution
• Strong understanding of defense industry standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory compliance frameworks
• Experience managing program budgets, schedules, and resource allocation in high-stakes, mission-critical environments
