  • • The Senior Project Manager leads the planning, sequencing, and delivery of Employee Service Center (ESC) and People Solutions Operations initiatives by aligning people, process, and technology to People Solutions priorities. This role is critical to ensuring that HR and people operations initiatives are delivered on time, in scope, and with measurable impact across Cox Automotive’s enterprise.
  • • Day to day, the individual will maintain the portfolio roadmap and intake process, oversee deployment activities and cyclical events (such as open enrollment, year-end, and system upgrades), provide end-to-end program management for moderately complex projects using PM tools and artifacts (charters, RACI, risk logs), drive stakeholder alignment and change communications, support continuous improvement of project management practices, and partner with HRTS, Process Improvement, CoE sponsors, and ESC leaders to ensure governance and readiness.
  • • The role sits within the People Solutions Operations team at Cox Automotive, a division of Cox Enterprises, Inc., which powers iconic brands like Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. The team is focused on transforming HR service delivery through technology, process improvement, and people-centered innovation in a hybrid/remote work environment.
  • • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in enterprise HR operations, program governance, change management, and data-informed decision-making. They will gain experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization, refining project management capabilities, and contributing to the scalability and efficiency of People Solutions services—positioning them for advancement into senior program or portfolio leadership roles.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination (e.g., master’s + 2 years, Ph.D. + 1 year, or 8 years’ experience)
  • • Experience leading moderately complex, cross-functional programs and projects impacting both technology and business processes using standard project and program management methodologies
  • • Demonstrated proficiency in process analysis and improvement techniques such as value stream mapping, data collection and analysis, root-cause analysis, and assessing financial or business impact
  • • Strong ability to resolve conflicts and navigate organizational resistance using negotiation, influence, and emotional intelligence in a matrixed environment
  • • Proven ability to partner and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject-matter experts (e.g., HRTS, PMO) to build strong internal and external relationships
  • • Skilled at interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to facilitate productive meetings and engage senior leaders with executive presence
  • • Proficiency with business productivity and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and comfort operating in an AI-forward environment
