- • The Senior Provider Contracting Professional initiates, negotiates, and executes physician, hospital, and other provider contracts, playing a critical role in shaping Humana’s provider network and ensuring access to quality care.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial impacts of contract terms, communicating payment structures and reimbursement rates to providers, maintaining contracts in tracking systems, and assisting with provider recruitment based on network needs.
- • The role operates within Humana’s provider network management team, contributing to strategic decisions and working independently on moderately complex to complex contracting issues without direct supervision.
- • The individual will develop expertise in managed care contracting, financial analysis of healthcare agreements, and network strategy, gaining influence over departmental direction and building skills in high-stakes provider negotiations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3 or more years of progressive network management experience
- • Experience negotiating managed care contracts with large physician groups, ancillary providers, and hospital systems
- • Proficiency in analyzing, understanding, and communicating the financial impact of contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers
- • Must reside in the State of Georgia with ability to travel to the Atlanta office once to twice monthly
