📋 Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. This pivotal role is centered around the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated Python-based automation solutions, with a primary focus on streamlining and enhancing the reconciliation process. You will be instrumental in building robust, scalable, and efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipelines that are capable of ingesting, processing, and integrating data from a diverse array of sources into a unified, high-performance platform.
• As a Senior Python Developer, your responsibilities will extend to the hands-on development, rigorous testing, and seamless deployment of Python automation scripts and complex workflows. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring the utmost accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of these processes throughout the entire reconciliation lifecycle. You will operate within both cloud and established enterprise data environments, requiring a deep understanding of how to leverage these platforms effectively.
• Collaboration is key in this position. You will work closely with technical leads, data scientists, analysts, and other key stakeholders to translate intricate business and technical requirements into well-architected, maintainable, and future-proof solutions. A significant part of your contribution will involve continuously monitoring and enhancing the performance of our automation frameworks, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations to ensure peak operational efficiency.
• Key responsibilities include the end-to-end design, development, and ongoing maintenance of robust ETL pipelines. This involves orchestrating data integration efforts across multiple disparate sources, ensuring data consistency and quality. You will be tasked with refactoring existing codebases and automated processes, migrating them to modern Python standards, and meticulously validating their functionality through comprehensive test cases and iterative feedback loops with users and stakeholders.
• A core function of this role is the implementation of scalable data solutions. This will leverage your expertise in Python, coupled with your experience in cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks and Apache Airflow. Familiarity with other relevant AWS services, like Lambda and S3, will be highly advantageous in building and managing these sophisticated data infrastructures.
• You will play a crucial role in fostering seamless data accessibility and usability for our data science and analytics teams. This involves understanding their needs and ensuring that the data pipelines you build provide clean, well-structured, and readily available data for their analytical endeavors. Furthermore, you will be responsible for proactively optimizing our data architecture and workflows. 🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data and automation engineering, with a strong emphasis on Python 3 development.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and administering SQL databases.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, Apache Airflow, or other relevant AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3).
• Proven experience in designing, testing, and deploying robust ETL workflows and integrating them with enterprise data systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a background investigation by the client agency.
