- • Design and execute functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end workflow tests for software features and business-critical workflows.
- • Build and maintain automated test cases to increase leverage, repeatability, and efficiency in testing processes.
- • Validate system behavior across application boundaries, services, and interconnected business processes.
- • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to clarify acceptance criteria, assess risk, and define expected system behavior.
- • Provide evidence-based quality assessments using defect trends, scenario coverage, and test results to determine release readiness.
- • Support pre-release validation activities and post-release quality reviews to ensure stable deployments.
- • Execute test scenarios specifically for AI-enabled features, including edge cases, ambiguous inputs, missing context, and workflow handoffs.
- • Validate AI-generated outputs against expected business behavior, traceability requirements, and established quality standards.
- • Identify recurring defects, gaps in requirements, and opportunities to expand test coverage across applications.
- • Contribute reusable test assets, documentation, and scenario libraries to improve team-wide testing effectiveness.
- • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to balance technical detail with business impact.
- • Translate risk observations into actionable quality improvements and escalate critical issues to senior team members.
- • Maintain a methodical, curious, and accountable approach to quality assurance without becoming rigid or overly process-driven.
- • Work in a hybrid model with flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week, based in one of Accordion’s U.S. offices.
- • Engage with finance, workflow, or data-centric products, applying domain knowledge to enhance testing relevance and accuracy.
- • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- • Lead by example in a flat, entrepreneurial organization with multiple complex workstreams and evolving priorities.
- • Communicate complex technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter mindset while managing individual workstreams and broader project responsibilities.
- • Deliver exceptional client service by ensuring high-quality software outcomes aligned with private equity and CFO office needs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience
- • Experience with manual and automated testing in modern application environments
- • Strong comfort with APIs, integration testing, and complex workflow validation
- • Familiarity with logs, defect triage, and data validation
- • Experience with finance, workflow, or data-centric products preferred
- • Bachelor's degree preferred
