  • • **The Opportunity:** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Recruiter to join our team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. This pivotal role is instrumental in fueling Cortex's rapid growth by attracting and securing top-tier talent across both our Technical and Go-to-Market (GTM) functions. You will be a critical strategic partner to our hiring managers, navigating the demands of a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong affinity for startup culture and is eager to contribute to scaling a world-class engineering and commercial organization. Reporting directly to the Head of People and Talent, you will collaborate extensively with all departments within the company.
  • • **Role Summary & Responsibilities:** As a Senior Recruiter, you will own and execute the full-cycle recruitment process with a strategic and proactive approach. Your core responsibilities will include:
  • • **Full-Cycle Recruiting Excellence:** Independently manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for a diverse range of roles. This encompasses proactive sourcing, meticulous screening, compelling interviewing, and successful offer negotiation and closing for critical positions within our Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing departments.
  • • **Strategic Partnership with Hiring Managers:** Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to hiring managers. This involves deeply understanding their team's needs, collaboratively defining precise job requirements, crafting and executing innovative recruitment strategies, and providing valuable market intelligence to ensure our hiring efforts remain competitive and effective.
  • • **Exceptional Candidate Experience:** Champion a positive, professional, and engaging experience for every candidate throughout their interaction with Cortex. Your efforts will be crucial in reinforcing Cortex's reputation as an employer of choice and ensuring a seamless journey from initial contact to onboarding.
  • • **Process Optimization and Innovation:** Continuously identify opportunities to enhance our existing recruiting processes, tools, and methodologies. Your proactive approach will drive improvements in efficiency, the quality of hires, and overall scalability, particularly vital in our high-growth trajectory.
  • • **Proactive Sourcing and Talent Mapping:** Develop and implement creative, targeted, and data-driven sourcing strategies to build robust talent pipelines. This is especially critical for filling hard-to-fill technical roles and securing top talent for key GTM positions.
  • • **Data-Driven Recruitment:** Utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to track progress, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions, ensuring our recruitment efforts are efficient and impactful.
  • • **Diversity and Inclusion:** Actively contribute to building a diverse and inclusive workforce by implementing equitable recruitment practices and sourcing from a wide range of talent pools.
  • • **Employer Branding:** Contribute to enhancing Cortex's employer brand by effectively communicating our mission, culture, and value proposition to potential candidates.
  • • **Location & Team:** While Cortex operates as a fully remote-first company, welcoming talent from across the US, this specific position ideally seeks candidates located within the NYC area to provide localized support for certain teams. You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team of approximately 80 passionate individuals dedicated to building a product that developers truly love. Our recent Series C funding of $60 million, led by Scale Ventures with participation from prominent investors like Sequoia and IVP, underscores our commitment to shaping the future of developer experience.
