- • Lead revenue recognition activities in full compliance with ASC 606, including contract analysis, identification of performance obligations, and allocation of transaction price.
- • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes specifically related to revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue accounts.
- • Prepare, review, and document all revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses with supporting evidence.
- • Support external audit engagements by preparing detailed audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries regarding revenue recognition and related controls.
- • Maintain, update, and enhance revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- • Drive process automation and scalability initiatives to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- • Assist in the implementation and configuration of NetSuite as part of broader financial system modernization efforts.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Technology to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting.
- • Apply intermediate to advanced Excel skills—including formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookups—to analyze financial data and support process improvements.
- • Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business environment while maintaining precision and adherence to accounting standards.
- • Demonstrate initiative in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions that streamline revenue accounting workflows.
- • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external auditors to clarify complex revenue recognition scenarios and documentation requirements.
- • Ensure all revenue accounting activities are conducted with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- • 4+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or SaaS experience preferred)
- • Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
- • Experience with NetSuite and/or Sage Intacct
- • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, V-lookups)
- • NetSuite implementation experience is a plus
