- • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on global sales compensation plans, answering complex questions from sales teams and cross-functional partners regarding plan mechanics, crediting rules, and policy interpretations.
- • Own the end-to-end design, maintenance, and improvement of sales crediting logic across diverse GTM roles, ensuring accuracy in accelerator tiers, split credits, overlay roles, draws, SPIFs, and incentive adjustments.
- • Build, maintain, and validate commission models in Google Sheets and Excel to support compensation administration, scenario forecasting, and pay-period estimates for sales teams.
- • Lead quota modeling and capacity planning initiatives, including seasonality-based quarterly breakdowns, new hire ramp schedules, and proration logic across regions, roles, and territories.
- • Manage the exception and dispute resolution process, evaluating sales crediting disputes with sound compensation judgment, documenting decisions, and clearly communicating outcomes to payroll and stakeholders.
- • Project manage the annual year-over-year compensation change process, coordinating workflows across sales, finance, HR, and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate plan updates.
- • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, assess compensation plan effectiveness, and provide data-driven recommendations for optimizing incentive structures and improving sales outcomes.
- • Research and resolve complex incentive design and policy challenges by developing hypotheses, analyzing data, synthesizing tradeoffs, and presenting actionable recommendations to leadership.
- • Collaborate closely with sales operations, finance, and HR teams to ensure precise and timely crediting of sales transactions and alignment of compensation data across systems.
- • Design and maintain executive-level reporting and dashboards that clearly communicate compensation metrics, plan performance, and payout insights to leadership.
- • Serve as a credible and clear communicator of compensation calculation methodologies to sales representatives, managers, finance partners, and HR teams.
- • Continuously improve the scalability and integrity of the global sales compensation engine by identifying gaps, challenging assumptions, and implementing enhancements to processes and systems.
- • Maintain strict attention to data accuracy and integrity across all compensation calculations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements.
- • Partner with IT and platform teams to support integration and optimization of compensation systems, including Salesforce and Xactly (or equivalent ICM platforms).
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in sales compensation, GTM operations, or a closely related analytical role
- • Strong working knowledge of commission plan mechanics, including crediting rules, accelerator logic, and attainment tracking
- • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel; experience with Salesforce and Xactly (or equivalent ICM platform) required
- • High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership over accuracy and data integrity
- • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain compensation outcomes to sales participants, leaders, and cross-functional partners in finance and HR
- • Self-directed and highly organized, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and driving projects to completion independently
