  • • The Senior Sales Engineer (SSE) is a pre-sales role focused on providing technical sales support to Commvault’s Account managers, acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite and technical stakeholders while driving revenue and customer value through solution design and sales cycle influence.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include formulating territory plans and account strategies, building relationships with partners and internal teams, engaging senior IT leadership to qualify technical and business needs, creating and delivering product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, developing business cases for C-level sponsors, and maintaining technical expertise through training and certifications.
  • • Commvault is a global leader in cyber resilience, empowering over 100,000 organizations with its AI-powered platform that combines data protection, security, intelligence, and rapid recovery across any workload or cloud at the lowest TCO, backed by 25+ years of innovation and a vast partner ecosystem.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise data management solutions, strengthen consultative selling and business case development skills, lead cross-functional collaborations, mentor peers, and directly impact revenue growth and customer success in high-stakes sales cycles.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years in Data Protection or cloud experience, with minimum 8+ years in a pre-sales systems engineer role
  • • Proven experience delivering, presenting, selling, and supporting enterprise client solutions, including Proof of Concept (POC) and architecting data management solutions (backup, recovery, migration, replication, compliance, SRM)
  • • Solid knowledge of infrastructure technologies (storage, servers, networking, cloud, hyper-convergence) and enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Exchange, DB2, SharePoint)
  • • Strong consultative selling skills with experience in business case creation and TCO modeling; familiarity with sales methodologies (TAS, SPIN, Solution Selling, Challenger)
  • • BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; ability to work remotely and autonomously with up to 50% travel
