- • As a Senior Sales Engineer at Contrast Security, you will serve as the critical technical bridge between sales, product, and engineering teams, translating complex application security concepts into clear value propositions for technical and executive audiences while driving revenue growth in a high-impact, fast-growing cybersecurity company.
- • You will own the technical execution of sales opportunities by delivering compelling product demonstrations, designing and managing Proofs of Value (POVs), troubleshooting customer environments, and ensuring seamless knowledge transfer—directly influencing deal outcomes and customer success.
- • Your day-to-day will involve refining technical requirements with prospects, educating them on continuous real-time application security and DevSecOps principles, acting as a thought leader between sales and engineering, and providing actionable feedback to product and engineering teams based on field insights.
- • You will collaborate closely with buyers during product integration, map customer business drivers to Contrast solutions, develop tailored technical materials, document sales engineering processes, and manage expectations with senior stakeholders while continuously advancing your expertise in modern application security landscapes.
- • In this role, you will rapidly deepen your mastery of Contrast’s Application Detection and Response (ADR) platform, engage with Fortune 100 companies and technology leaders, and become a trusted advisor in shifting security left in the SDLC—positioning yourself as a top-tier technical sales expert in enterprise cybersecurity.
- • You will gain exposure to cutting-edge cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP), lead enterprise architecture discussions, and contribute to webinars, conferences, and blogs—building a powerful personal brand while shaping how organizations secure software at speed.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
- • 7+ years of relevant AppSec experience in a corporate environment, including 3+ years of software development with Java, .NET, or Node.js
- • 4+ years of enterprise sales engineering experience with proven success in presales roles
- • Hands-on experience with modern software stacks and tools including Docker, Kubernetes, Git, AWS, Azure, GCP, and CI/CD pipelines
- • Deep knowledge of application security technologies (SAST, DAST, IAST, RASP, WAF), OWASP Top 10, SDLC, DevOps, and vulnerability remediation
- • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to tell compelling technical stories to both technical and non-technical audiences
- • Comfort working in Linux and Windows environments with strong command-line proficiency
- • Ability to travel 40%+ within territory as needed
