📋 Description

• As a Senior Sales Engineer on Fivetran’s Commercial team, you will serve as a critical technical advisor bridging complex customer data challenges with Fivetran’s automated data replication platform, directly enabling organizations to become truly data-driven by eliminating engineering overhead in data pipeline management.
• You will partner closely with Commercial sales representatives to deeply understand customer business objectives, map technical requirements to Fivetran’s capabilities, and lead proof-of-value initiatives that demonstrate measurable outcomes, ensuring technical validation throughout the sales cycle.
• Your day-to-day will involve conducting technical discovery sessions with prospects, designing and delivering customized solution presentations, configuring and managing proof-of-value environments using Fivetran’s connectors across cloud data platforms, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback for platform improvements.
• You will maintain technical fluency across modern data stack technologies including AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kubernetes, Docker, and various database systems, while staying current on industry trends to effectively consult customers on best practices for data integration and analytics.
• Working within Fivetran’s London-based Commercial team, you’ll contribute to a high-impact, collaborative culture focused on solving real-world data problems at scale, supported by a company valued at over $5.6 billion and recognized for its innovative approach to data infrastructure.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in enterprise sales engineering, strengthen your ability to translate technical concepts into business value, and grow your influence as a trusted advisor — positioning yourself for advancement into leadership roles within technical sales or solutions architecture.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field with proven success in customer-facing technical roles
• Strong technical background in database replication (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, NoSQL), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), and data integration technologies with hands-on experience
• Experience with modern data analytics stack including cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery), transformation tools (e.g., dbt), data catalogs, and BI platforms
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, coupled with experience in self-hosted software applications, networking (cloud and on-premise), and supporting infrastructure
