  • • As a Senior Sales Engineer in EMEA, you will serve as the trusted technical counterpart to the sales team and enterprise customers, guiding them from initial discovery through successful proof of value (POV) and handover, ensuring Atlan’s context layer for data and AI is effectively positioned and demonstrated across complex enterprise environments.
  • • You will partner with Account Executives to conduct deep discovery sessions, uncovering real-world data and AI challenges across enterprise accounts in EMEA, translating business problems into technical solutions that highlight Atlan’s value in enabling trusted, governed data for AI initiatives.
  • • You will design and lead proof of concept (POC) and proof of value (POV) engagements that showcase how Atlan functions as a unified context layer across modern data stacks—including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, BI tools, and AI workflows—tailoring demonstrations to resonate with data engineers, architects, and senior business stakeholders.
  • • You will leverage AI as a force multiplier by building internal tools, automating repetitive tasks, and accelerating solution prototyping for customers, embodying an AI-native builder mindset that enhances both internal efficiency and customer-facing innovation.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Product and Solution Engineering teams to develop reference architectures, best practices, and reusable POV patterns for key verticals and platforms, ensuring consistency and scalability in technical execution across the region.
  • • You will act as the voice of the customer, feeding field insights, integration challenges, and feature requests back into Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities and improve product-market fit in EMEA.
  • • You will strengthen Atlan’s ecosystem motion by partnering with cloud and technology providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake) to identify and pursue joint go-to-market opportunities, co-selling solutions that extend Atlan’s reach within the modern data and AI stack.
  • • You will thrive in a high-growth, ambiguous startup environment, demonstrating ownership, urgency, and a builder’s mindset by creating new sales engineering playbooks, refining POV frameworks, and contributing to team knowledge sharing and mentorship.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5-8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Customer Engineering, preferably within data, analytics, or adjacent SaaS industries, with a proven ability to own the technical win in complex enterprise deals.
  • • Hands-on fluency with the modern data stack, including SQL and platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift, plus familiarity with ETL/ELT, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt), and BI technologies to engage credibly with data engineers and architects.
  • • Working knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, and data pipelines, with experience in Python or similar languages for prototyping, scripting, or automating tasks considered a strong plus.
  • • Demonstrated success in multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles, including aligning technical and business teams, running successful POCs/POVs, and navigating long sales cycles in strategic accounts.
  • • An AI-native or builder mindset: experience using AI or automation to streamline workflows, build internal tools, or prototype solutions, with enthusiasm for applying this approach to customer challenges.
  • • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, capable of shifting seamlessly between deep technical detail and clear, compelling executive-level narratives for audiences ranging from practitioners to C-suite leaders.
