  • • Your primary responsibility will be to **Drive Action and Execution** by leading all sales efforts to achieve profitable growth for the Taylor Adhesives business. This involves the meticulous development and implementation of comprehensive business and customer plans tailored to specific market segments and client needs. You will be at the forefront of developing innovative new business models and skillfully negotiating major contracts, ensuring favorable terms that align with Avery Dennison's strategic objectives. A critical aspect of this role is cultivating and nurturing strong, personal relationships with key clients, understanding their evolving requirements, and positioning Taylor Adhesives as their indispensable partner.
  • • Furthermore, you will be a key player in **Collaborating Across Boundaries** to foster a unified approach to market success. This includes being a significant contributor to the development of strategic and operating plans, such as Annual Operating Plans (AOPs) and long-term strategic blueprints. You will work hand-in-hand with the Marketing team to formulate overarching strategies, identify and select key target markets, pinpoint prospective customers with high growth potential, and critically, identify unmet customer needs. Your insights will guide the development of new products and processes designed to precisely address these identified needs, creating a distinct competitive advantage.
  • • You will translate complex market trends and evolving customer demands into actionable goals and initiatives that drive tangible business outcomes. This involves proactively identifying, assessing, developing, and managing new programs and business opportunities within your assigned areas, overseeing their successful commercialization from concept to market launch. Engaging directly with prospective customers to understand their unique challenges and implementing tailored solutions will be a cornerstone of your approach. You will also lead and manage priority growth projects, orchestrating cross-functional teaming efforts that integrate resources from R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and application development to ensure seamless execution and project success.
  • • Your engagement extends to actively participating in relevant trade associations and technical conferences, staying abreast of industry advancements and identifying emerging opportunities within target markets. Developing and implementing robust, long-term Business Development strategies will be crucial for increasing market share and enhancing profitability. You will be responsible for clearly defining and articulating the value proposition of Taylor Adhesives to the market, customers, and the broader industry, encompassing strategies related to service excellence, competitive pricing, and product platform innovation. Identifying emerging trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and generating new ideas for products, processes, and services will be a continuous focus.
  • • In terms of **People Leadership**, you will provide clear vision and direction for a dedicated team of professional sales, technical, and customer service resources, managing a team of approximately 8 direct reports. Your leadership style will focus on positively rallying and empowering the commercial team to achieve both individual performance goals and overarching business objectives.
