- • As a Senior Sales Manager for Sweet Protein at GenScript Biotech Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and market expansion for innovative sweet protein solutions within the food and beverage industry, directly contributing to the company’s mission of advancing sustainable biotechnology applications.
- • You will execute the department’s business strategy and annual plan by identifying and prioritizing high-potential business opportunities, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring achievement of annual sales and profit targets through disciplined planning and execution.
- • You will build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and partners across North and South America through proactive outreach, regular site visits, and consultative engagement to uncover commercial opportunities and tailor solutions to specific needs.
- • You will continuously deepen your expertise in sweet protein products, their applications in food ingredients, sweeteners, and flavor systems, and evolving market trends, sharing actionable insights with R&D and product teams to inform innovation and optimization.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including technical, production, and marketing to align sales efforts with product capabilities, ensure seamless customer onboarding, and drive sustainable growth in the food ingredient portfolio.
- • You will work directly with customers and partners to gather market intelligence on evolving consumer preferences, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics, using these insights to shape go-to-market strategies for new product launches and positioning.
- • You will respond flexibly to ad-hoc priorities assigned by leadership, demonstrating agility and ownership in supporting broader organizational goals beyond core sales responsibilities.
- • You will operate with high autonomy as a remote-based professional in the United States, leveraging self-direction and initiative to manage territory, pipeline, and customer engagements without day-to-day supervision.
- • You will contribute to GenScript’s broader vision of becoming the most reliable biotech company globally by helping deliver sustainable, nature-inspired protein solutions that support healthier food systems and environmental stewardship.
- • You will develop advanced skills in B2B sales strategy, key account management, technical product positioning in specialty ingredients, and cross-functional influence — positioning yourself as a trusted advisor in the emerging alternative protein and sweetener space.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Food Science, Nutrition, Marketing, or Life Sciences)
- • Minimum 5 years of proven B2B sales or business development experience in the food ingredients, food & beverage, sweetener, or flavor ingredient industry
- • Demonstrated success in key account management and channel development, with strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities across technical and commercial stakeholders
