📋 Description

• Senior Search Marketing Manager at KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, will own and drive the growth of travel brands across North America through SEM, managing substantial advertising budgets and leading innovative projects with global impact on international strategy, ensuring ambitious growth targets are met through data-driven execution in one of the world’s most advanced digital marketing teams.
• Define global guidelines and contribute to the development of in-house marketing technologies; monitor industry shifts including AI and LLM-driven search to design rigorous testing frameworks that enhance the user journey; lead high-impact projects from ideation to delivery, managing competing priorities and coordinating across Commercial, Analytics, and Engineering teams to ensure results are delivered.
• Communicate optimization insights clearly with global teams; use advanced analytical skills to turn deep-dive performance data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership; provide day-to-day technical mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and training on advanced performance marketing processes.
• Act as a strategic partner to Engineering and Product teams, providing domain expertise to develop and automate in-house tools; share optimization insights across the broader performance marketing team; exercise high autonomy to scale brands across major search engines while balancing hands-on technical execution with influence on global growth strategy.
• Join a travel company operating a portfolio of global metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights and HotelsCombined, where innovation is at the core and every employee has an opportunity to make their mark; work from the Cambridge, MA office 3 days per week as part of a team transforming business travel with KAYAK for Business and helping people find their perfect flight, stay, rental car, and vacation package across billions of queries.
• Develop expertise in scaling SEM programs for major travel brands in a high-stakes, data-centric environment; gain leadership experience in cross-functional project delivery and mentoring junior talent; contribute to pioneering best practices in automation, bidding technologies, and performance modeling that shape KAYAK’s internal marketing platforms and global search strategy.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing large-scale, high-budget campaigns across top search engines, with experience in the travel industry or high-volume e-commerce environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the search landscape, including attribution and tracking, with proven ability to use advanced automation, scripting, and bidding technologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with SQL and data visualization tools is a plus for deep-dive performance modeling.
• High-ownership mindset with motivation to lead complex projects from concept to delivery, ensuring cross-functional alignment and measurable impact.
• Ability to translate complex datasets into strategic recommendations for global teams and senior leadership.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous experimentation.
