• • As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Loadsmart Inc., you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining the robust and scalable infrastructure that powers our innovative platform. This pivotal role demands a blend of deep technical expertise in systems engineering, software development, and a strong commitment to DevOps principles. You will be instrumental in shaping our platform's architecture, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security, while simultaneously enhancing the developer experience for all engineering teams.
• • Your primary responsibility will involve the meticulous design of our infrastructure, networking, and the overarching software platform architecture. This includes defining clear platform guidelines, establishing stringent requirements, and refining processes, all while championing the adoption and implementation of DevOps methodologies to foster a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
• • A significant part of your role will be dedicated to building and maintaining sophisticated infrastructure automation. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to ensure that our infrastructure is defined and managed programmatically, enabling auditable delivery of infrastructure definitions and changes. This approach minimizes manual intervention, reduces the risk of human error, and allows for rapid, repeatable deployments.
• • You will be responsible for automating our Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines. This involves streamlining the software delivery lifecycle, enabling faster and more reliable releases of new features and updates. By optimizing these pipelines, you will directly contribute to the agility and efficiency of our engineering teams.
• • Enhancing Developer Experience and Productivity will be a key focus. You will contribute to service catalogs and drive service maturity, making it easier for developers to access and utilize the resources they need. This includes building and maintaining the core application platform that is utilized by all engineering teams, ensuring it is performant, reliable, and user-friendly.
• • You will play a crucial role in managing multiple Kubernetes clusters, ensuring their stability, scalability, and security. This involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting these complex environments to support our containerized applications.
• • The role requires you to design, develop, and maintain core systems using common programming languages. You will be expected to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to build and enhance our internal tooling, which is essential for the productivity of all engineering teams.
• • Troubleshooting will be a critical aspect of your day-to-day activities. You will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to infrastructure, internal applications, networking, and security, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
• • You will be instrumental in building and maintaining a comprehensive observability platform. This includes establishing clear guidelines and standards for monitoring, logging, and tracing, enabling proactive identification and resolution of potential problems. Defining internal platform Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) will be a key responsibility, ensuring we meet and exceed our performance and availability targets.
• • Managing backup policies and operations is essential to ensure data integrity and business continuity. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining robust backup strategies.
• • You will maintain the fleet of databases, overseeing critical tasks such as upgrades, security patching, performance analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure their optimal operation.
• • Conducting thorough security risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and managing VPNs and security tests will be integral to safeguarding our systems and data against evolving threats.
• • You will utilize a range of powerful tools and technologies, including Linux as the primary operating system, and programming languages such as Python, Go, and JavaScript, along with Shell scripting for automation.
