Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of HHAeXchange’s homecare management platform, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions that directly impact the quality of care delivered to thousands of patients across the United States.
- • Lead Business Requirement Designing, Solution Designing, and AIS Review workshops, acting as the primary technical voice who bridges clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and modern cloud architecture to ensure every feature we ship solves real-world caregiver and agency challenges.
- • Analyze and meticulously document both business and technical requirements, producing crisp artifacts that serve as the single source of truth for cross-functional teams including Product, QA, Compliance, and Customer Success.
- • Collaborate daily with interfacing development teams—both onsite in New York and offshore—to assess requirement impacts, negotiate trade-offs, and maintain architectural integrity across micro-services, APIs, and third-party integrations such as EVV, Medicaid, and payer systems.
- • Architect system-level designs that map technical requirements to sub-systems, producing Detailed Design Specifications (DDS) that cover data models, service contracts, security controls, performance baselines, and disaster-recovery strategies.
- • Partner with the HHA Architecture Team during planning cycles to align on technology roadmaps, evaluate emerging patterns (event-driven architecture, CQRS, domain-driven design), and champion engineering excellence standards across the organization.
- • Estimate software project scope, effort, and risk using empirical data and story-pointing, proactively flagging potential plan issues to leadership and proposing mitigation strategies that keep releases on schedule and within budget.
- • Drive software development execution through cross-team coordination: facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; remove blockers; and ensure continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines remain green and performant.
- • Troubleshoot production incidents in real time, leveraging distributed tracing, centralized logging, and APM tools to diagnose root causes, implement hot-fixes, and prevent recurrence via post-mortems and automated regression tests.
- • Identify and document new software enhancement areas by mining support tickets, customer feedback, and telemetry data, turning insights into actionable user stories that continuously elevate the platform’s value proposition.
- • Interact directly with end users—homecare agency administrators, nurses, schedulers, and payers—to validate requirements, secure sign-off on delivered features, and conduct training sessions that maximize adoption and satisfaction.
- • Implement and enforce software version control best practices using Git (branching strategies, semantic versioning, release tagging) while integrating with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- • Review code produced by peer programmers, focusing on readability, test coverage, security, and performance; conduct rigorous performance tests to ensure every program unit meets or exceeds defined SLAs (sub-second API response times, 99.9% uptime).
- • Author stepwise installation and deployment documents that empower Release Management and DevOps teams to push updates safely across dev, QA, staging, and production environments with zero downtime blue-green or canary strategies.
- • Perform comprehensive sanity testing across the entire application after each production deployment, validating critical user journeys such as caregiver clock-in/out, visit authorization, claims submission, and real-time eligibility checks.
- • Coordinate closely with Client Success and external vendors during production incidents or day-to-day operational issues, serving as the technical escalation point who can translate complex logs into plain-language updates for non-technical stakeholders.
- • Deliver knowledge-transfer workshops for the Production Support Group and Test Support Team, ensuring new features, configuration changes, and troubleshooting runbooks are clearly understood and sustainably maintained.
- • Provide real-time support to the System Testing Team by generating realistic test data, analyzing test results, and triaging defects; maintain a living defect dashboard that prioritizes issues by severity, customer impact, and fix complexity.
- • Prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects using a data-driven approach—leveraging Splunk, New Relic, or similar tools to isolate memory leaks, race conditions, and dependency failures—while maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders.
- • Produce emergency installation instructions for hot-fixes in system test environments, coordinating with Release Managers to ensure rapid, auditable deployments that comply with HIPAA and SOC 2 controls.
- • Set up and tune monitoring and alerting tools (Datadog, PagerDuty, CloudWatch) for production systems, defining SLIs/SLOs that proactively detect anomalies in caregiver mobile app usage, EVV data ingestion, and payer API latency.
- • Conduct performance sign-off workshops with stakeholders, demonstrating that new releases meet throughput, concurrency, and scalability targets under simulated peak loads equivalent to 10× normal traffic.
- • Train end users on new modules and workflows through webinars, documentation, and in-app guidance, ensuring seamless adoption and measurable improvements in caregiver efficiency and patient outcomes.
- • Embrace a fully remote-first culture while maintaining strong collaboration across US time zones, leveraging Slack, Zoom, Miro, and Confluence to keep distributed teams aligned and engaged.
