- • Own the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of cloud-native software that keeps Fortune-500 systems running 24/7. You’ll architect microservices, APIs, and data pipelines that scale to millions of transactions per second while maintaining sub-second latency.
- • Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers to translate complex business requirements into elegant, maintainable code. You’ll act as the bridge between Apiphani’s product vision and the real-world constraints of regulated industries like finance, healthcare, and defense.
- • Drive continuous integration and deployment excellence. You’ll own the CI/CD stack (GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Terraform Cloud) and champion trunk-based development, automated testing, and zero-downtime releases that ship to production multiple times per day.
- • Establish and evangelize engineering standards across the company. From code-review checklists to architectural decision records (ADRs), you’ll ensure every line of code is secure, observable, and ready for the next engineer who touches it.
- • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and career-growth plans. You’ll help shape Apiphani’s engineering culture as we grow from 30 to 300 people, creating a learning environment where everyone ships with confidence.
- • Optimize mission-critical workloads for cost, performance, and resilience. You’ll profile JVM and Node runtimes, tune Kubernetes resource limits, and design multi-region failover strategies that keep customer SLAs at 99.99% uptime.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, SREs, and customer success to prioritize the roadmap. You’ll balance technical debt, feature velocity, and customer delight—turning ambiguous requirements into clear, measurable deliverables.
- • Contribute to open-source projects and speak at meetups or conferences. Apiphani believes in giving back to the community; you’ll have dedicated time each quarter to share our innovations and learn from peers worldwide.
- • Experiment with emerging technologies—WebAssembly at the edge, eBPF for observability, or confidential computing for regulated data—to keep Apiphani on the cutting edge of managed services.
- • Measure what matters. You’ll instrument everything with OpenTelemetry, build real-time dashboards in Grafana, and use data to drive architectural decisions that save customers millions in infrastructure costs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of production experience with distributed systems in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Node.js running on Kubernetes
- • Proven track record designing and operating cloud-native architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Pulumi)
- • Deep understanding of observability, security, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
- • Nice-to-have: contributions to CNCF projects, experience with confidential computing, or prior work in regulated industries
