📋 Description
- • Senior Software Engineer, Cloud role at Lumana Inc. focused on building and evolving the core cloud platform that supports real-time video streaming, recording, and AI processing for a global customer base.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining distributed backend services connecting edge infrastructure with cloud systems, developing data pipelines for video and AI workloads, and working on ingestion, storage, retrieval, and secure handling of large-scale video data in multi-tenant environments.
- • Lumana is a fast-growing AI video security company founded in 2021, backed by tier-one Silicon Valley investors, with a mission to unlock the value of visual data through intelligent video security solutions that enhance safety, streamline operations, and enable instant response.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend or cloud systems
- • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with computing specialization, or closely related field
- • Hands-on experience with JavaScript/Node.js for backend systems
- • Experience building backend services in cloud environments and working with cloud provider services and SDKs; GCP experience is a strong plus
- • Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and scalability
- • Experience building APIs and microservices architectures
- • Familiarity with real-time systems or event-driven architectures
- • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- • Ability to work in a hybrid model in Israel with at least 3 days per week in the office and periodic work from Caesarea
- • Availability to contribute outside regular hours, including weekends or holidays, when cloud issues have broad impact
