📋 Description

• • As a Senior Software Engineer on the System Design Pod at Aurora Solar, you will help build the next generation of PV and storage design tools, leading technical features from discovery through release and advancing simulation and optimization work for solar and battery systems.
• • You will design, build, and maintain backend systems and computation engines behind Aurora's solar and electrical design workflows, partnering with product managers, designers, research engineers, and fellow engineers to turn complex physical models into reliable, scalable software.
• • The System Design Pod owns the algorithms and systems that power load and utility bill modeling, whole home electrification, PV and battery electrical design, and system performance simulation, operating at the intersection of software engineering and applied math with direct impact on solar project quality.
• • You will shape the architecture of simulation and computation infrastructure, write clean and well-tested code, mentor teammates, and own services end to end, including on-call rotation, while advancing the accuracy and capability of solar design for thousands of installers and millions of homeowners.
