- • This role is perfect for an experienced engineer with a strong background in site reliability and operations, driven by a passion for simplifying complex systems and building resilient, large-scale infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality educational experiences.
- • As a key member of our San Mateo, CA headquarters team, you will contribute to the core of our technological operations. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, with a standard Monday-Friday work week.
- • Your primary responsibilities will involve mastering diverse production technology stacks, taking ownership of site performance, ensuring unwavering uptime, and driving scalability initiatives. You will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining comprehensive monitoring dashboards, sophisticated alerting systems, and clear, actionable runbook documentation tailored to each product's unique requirements.
- • A critical aspect of this role is identifying and resolving technical challenges. You will proactively diagnose issues across the entire stack, implementing both immediate fixes and strategic, long-term solutions to prevent recurrence and enhance system stability.
- • You will foster strong partnerships with application engineering teams, gaining a deep understanding of their product needs. This collaboration will extend to supporting test environments and meticulously managing our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve architecting and proposing strategic changes to our technology landscape. Your insights will guide efforts to consolidate, simplify, and streamline our systems company-wide, driving technological modernization and efficiency.
- • You will also be responsible for developing and refining tooling that supports our deployment and release processes, making them more robust, automated, and user-friendly for development teams.
