📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end delivery of sophisticated user-facing features across Freshworks’ flagship SaaS products, translating high-level product vision into pixel-perfect, performant interfaces that delight 60,000+ global customers.
• • Architect and build reusable, lower-order component libraries and utility modules that become the shared foundation for dozens of product teams, driving consistency, accessibility, and velocity across the entire front-end ecosystem.
• • Partner daily with product managers, UX designers, and back-end architects to decompose large epics into actionable technical specifications, ensuring every line of code advances measurable business outcomes such as conversion, retention, and NPS.
• • Debug and optimize deeply nested component hierarchies—often spanning multiple micro-frontends—using cutting-edge tooling (React 18, TypeScript, Webpack 5, Vite, and our in-house design system) to achieve sub-second load times and 60 fps interactions.
• • Coach and unblock a growing guild of 25+ front-end engineers through pair programming, brown-bag sessions, and lightning talks, raising the collective bar on modern patterns like hooks, suspense, server components, and progressive enhancement.
• • Conduct rigorous, empathy-driven code reviews that enforce accessibility (WCAG 2.2), security (OWASP), and performance budgets while nurturing a culture of psychological safety and continuous learning.
• • Evaluate and interview prospective front-end talent, designing practical coding challenges that reveal real-world problem-solving skills and alignment with Freshworks’ customer-obsessed values.
• • Surface actionable insights to engineering leadership on technical debt, tooling gaps, and emerging web standards, influencing quarterly OKRs and multi-year architecture roadmaps.
• • Champion experimentation by A/B testing new interaction paradigms, instrumentation strategies, and progressive rollouts behind feature flags, turning data into decisive product improvements.
• • Contribute to open-source initiatives and internal tech blogs, amplifying Freshworks’ reputation as a thought leader in the global front-end community and attracting top-tier talent to the Chennai hub.
