- • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality frontend applications using React and TypeScript for Kraken Pro, a leading crypto trading platform.
- • Set the standard for code quality and lead the development of complex, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems within the Pro trading team.
- • Significantly influence technical decisions and contribute to technical strategy discussions, shaping product and domain decisions with deep engineering expertise.
- • Mentor both junior and senior engineers through code reviews, feedback, and guidance on best practices in frontend architecture and development.
- • Master and apply multiple technologies, staying ahead of emerging tools and trends in the frontend ecosystem to ensure Kraken remains at the industry’s forefront.
- • Design and implement scalable frontend architectures with a strong understanding of design patterns, performance optimization, and security principles.
- • Lead and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to enhance Kraken Pro’s trading infrastructure, including market data gateways, APIs, and real-time trading interfaces.
- • Drive process improvements across development workflows, promoting agile practices and high standards in software delivery.
- • Apply strong UI/UX best practices to ensure intuitive, responsive, and accessible trading experiences for experienced traders, institutions, and newcomers.
- • Work with modern frontend build pipelines and tooling, including Next.js and WebSockets, to deliver low-latency, high-performance trading applications.
- • Conduct and contribute to frontend testing using industry-standard frameworks to ensure reliability and stability of critical trading features.
- • Leverage hands-on experience in fintech, crypto, or consumer payments environments to inform product decisions and technical implementation.
- • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate with globally distributed teams and align on technical and product goals.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with Kraken’s products, including Kraken Pro, Desktop, Wallet, and Kraken Futures, to ensure alignment with user needs and platform standards.
- • Participate in a fully remote, global team environment with colleagues across 70+ countries, contributing to a culture rooted in crypto values and mission-driven work.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on web applications
- • Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with the React ecosystem
- • Strong experience with API design, security, and performance optimization
- • Experience with Next.js and WebSockets
- • Experience with frontend testing frameworks
- • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling
