- • Lead the end-to-end development of the PSA Liquidity Platform, including PSA Partner Offers and eBay Consignment, connecting supply and demand across a global marketplace for collectibles.
- • Build next-generation buyer tooling for targeting, campaign management, budget controls, and analytics to enable individual collectors and large-scale dealers to discover and acquire collectibles at scale.
- • Design and optimize a real-time matching and ranking engine in partnership with AI/ML teams to maximize GMV, conversion rates, and offer-to-sale velocity across multiple channels.
- • Architect and operate scalable microservices and event-driven systems using Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS to deliver instant, accurate offers for millions of collectibles with low latency and high reliability.
- • Elevate the seller experience by simplifying item pricing, option understanding, and sale completion with minimal friction across the platform.
- • Apply an AI-first approach throughout the software development lifecycle, leveraging AI tools for planning, code generation, review, and debugging to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
- • Own technical outcomes from concept to production, wearing any necessary hat—frontend, backend, infrastructure, or data—to deliver high-impact products with measurable business results.
- • Translate business strategy into clear technical specifications, user stories, and execution plans, coordinating delivery across cross-functional teams including product, design, data, and engineering.
- • Ensure seamless integration and liquidity handoffs between PSA’s enterprise systems, including Grading, Collection Management, and Vaulting, resolving cross-system dependencies in payments, logistics, and risk.
- • Communicate complex technical tradeoffs and project status clearly to executives, engineers, and stakeholders through written and verbal updates, aligning teams without direct authority.
- • Instrument and monitor production systems using Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry, building dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing to ensure system health and rapid incident resolution.
- • Maintain an extreme ownership mindset, setting high standards for quality and accountability, and thriving in a fast-paced, self-directed environment where initiative drives progress.
- • Collaborate with a dedicated cross-functional team to deliver high-visibility, high-impact features that directly influence marketplace liquidity and revenue growth.
- • Participate in video interviews with cameras on to foster meaningful interaction and simulate the company’s standard working environment; occasional on-site collaboration may be required for candidates within 1-hour commuting distance of the office.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of engineering experience with a track record of designing, shipping, and scaling 0-to-1 products with measurable business impact
- • Strong full-stack proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and modern frontend frameworks such as React and Svelte
- • Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems using microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes, and the AWS ecosystem
- • Demonstrated observability-first mindset with hands-on use of Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry for monitoring, alerting, and debugging
- • Experience building with AI tooling across the SDLC, including code generation, review, and debugging
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to align cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority
