Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end architecture of Extreme’s next-generation Generative-AI platform, translating ambitious product visions into scalable, production-grade systems that serve 50,000+ global customers.
- • Design and implement high-performance, real-time ML pipelines that ingest terabytes of network telemetry, security logs, and user-behavior data, turning raw streams into actionable insights through RAG, AI Agents, and fine-tuned LLMs.
- • Be the technical anchor for a green-field initiative: define coding standards, choose cloud-native stacks (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and establish CI/CD, monitoring, and model-drift detection practices that become the blueprint for future AI teams.
- • Lead cross-functional squads of data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers in weekly design sprints, story mapping, and OKR reviews—balancing rapid experimentation with enterprise-grade reliability and security.
- • Build and extend open-source ML libraries and distributed frameworks (Spark, Flink, PySpark, Kafka, Lakehouse, Druid, Hudi, Glue) to create a unified data fabric that supports both batch and low-latency streaming use cases.
- • Develop AI Agents capable of autonomous network remediation, anomaly detection, and predictive capacity planning; measure success through KPIs such as MTTR reduction, cost savings, and customer NPS uplift.
- • Champion MLOps best practices: automated model retraining, A/B experimentation, feature stores, and governance workflows that satisfy SOC-2, ISO-27001, and GDPR requirements.
- • Collaborate with Graph ML specialists to leverage GNNs and Graph-RAG for topology-aware insights, enabling customers to visualize and optimize complex network relationships in real time.
- • Present technical roadmaps and quarterly demos to executive leadership, customers, and the open-source community; publish white-papers and speak at conferences to position Extreme as a thought leader in AI-driven networking.
- • Mentor junior engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and career development plans; foster an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives accelerate innovation.
- • Continuously scan the horizon for emerging Gen-AI research (multi-modal LLMs, reinforcement learning from human feedback, retrieval-augmented planning) and rapidly prototype ideas that can be productized within 6–12 months.
- • Contribute to patent filings and IP strategy, ensuring that breakthrough algorithms are protected while still encouraging open collaboration and reproducible science.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field plus 5+ years of full SDLC experience spanning design, coding, reviews, testing, deployment, and operations
- • 5+ years building and deploying end-to-end ML solutions in production environments, with demonstrable impact on business metrics
- • Hands-on expertise developing Generative AI solutions (RAG, AI Agents, LLM fine-tuning) that have shipped to real users at scale
- • Proven experience with large-scale distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerization, orchestration, and auto-scaling
- • Strong ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and communicate solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with flexible hours and quarterly in-person innovation summits in Bangalore or Chennai
- • Annual learning stipend of USD 3,000 for conferences, courses, and certifications in AI/ML and cloud technologies
- • Comprehensive health coverage for employee and dependents, plus mental-wellness and Employee Assistance Programs
- • Stock purchase plan and performance bonus tied to company growth, recognizing your direct contribution to Extreme’s double-digit YoY expansion
