- • Build new functionality for Aurora Solar’s industry-leading solar design and sales platform to enhance how solar professionals create and present homeowner-first proposals.
- • Design, develop, and maintain APIs that integrate seamlessly with financial institutions and sales partners to enable reliable, real-time financing options for residential and commercial solar projects.
- • Develop scalable, secure backend services built for long-term performance and high-volume usage across global solar markets.
- • Strengthen agile development processes by contributing to predictable, high-impact sprint outcomes and ensuring consistent delivery of features that drive customer value.
- • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of shared learning through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- • Champion operational excellence by owning the services you build, including participation in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and rapid incident response.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and customer success teams to translate user needs into technical solutions that improve the sales experience for solar professionals.
- • Contribute to the evolution of the sales narrative platform, ensuring it remains intuitive, accurate, and aligned with evolving regulatory and financial landscapes in the solar industry.
- • Implement and refine component-based front-end features using React to deliver seamless, responsive user experiences across devices and workflows.
- • Apply best practices in software engineering—including testing, documentation, and CI/CD—to maintain high code quality and reduce technical debt across the platform.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to expand the platform’s capabilities in financial modeling, proposal customization, and customer journey optimization.
- • Advocate for scalable architecture decisions that support Aurora’s growth and global expansion while maintaining system stability and performance.
- • Engage in continuous improvement of engineering practices by evaluating new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that enhance team productivity and product quality.
- • Ensure all software solutions adhere to security standards and data privacy requirements relevant to financial integrations and customer data handling.
- • Contribute to the company’s mission of accelerating solar adoption by building technology that makes clean energy accessible, affordable, and understandable for homeowners.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails
- • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- • Familiarity with React and component-based front-end development
- • Working knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- • Ability to thrive on a fully distributed team in a hybrid environment
- • Proficient in both written and spoken English (resume must be submitted in English)
