- • As a Senior Software Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) at Asana, you will help build and shape a new SRE team in Warsaw, playing a foundational role in improving the reliability, scalability, and resilience of Asana’s distributed systems.
- • Day to day, you will lead reliability-focused projects across the stack, define and implement incident management processes, build internal platforms to improve service reliability, and participate in a sustainable on-call rotation shared across Warsaw, San Francisco, and Reykjavik.
- • You will join a growing infrastructure hub in Warsaw, collaborating closely with SRE teams in San Francisco, infrastructure engineers in Reykjavik, and local infrastructure teams, contributing to Asana’s major investment in reliability as a company-wide priority.
- • In this role, you will influence the future of Asana’s SRE practice, gain deep experience with modern cloud-native technologies, drive architectural improvements, and grow your impact as the team scales — whether through technical leadership, mentoring, or shaping team practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong software engineering background with comfort writing and reading code; this is not a traditional ops role.
- • Experience or strong interest in reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability of distributed systems at scale.
- • Proven ability to collaborate across teams, take initiative in ambiguous environments, and learn new technologies quickly.
- • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and monitoring tools like Datadog is preferred, but eagerness to learn the stack is essential.
- • Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with interest in leveraging them to improve productivity and decision-making.
