• • As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Sourcegraph, you will be at the forefront of transforming how software is built, playing a pivotal role in empowering developers and organizations to navigate, understand, and operate on massive, complex codebases with unparalleled speed and confidence.
• • You will be instrumental in elevating Sourcegraph's pre-sales organization, working with some of the world's leading technology companies as customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into how elite organizations build software at scale, placing you at the center of this critical process.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to guide prospective customers through their journey with Sourcegraph, ensuring they understand the immense value and technical capabilities of our code intelligence platform.
• • You will collaborate closely with Account Executives (AEs) to identify customer needs, articulate Sourcegraph's value proposition, and demonstrate how our solutions address complex technical challenges.
• • A key aspect of your role will involve leading technical discovery calls, deeply understanding the technical landscape and motivations of potential clients, and translating their requirements into compelling solutions.
• • You will serve as a crucial advocate for customers, channeling their feedback, insights, and challenges back to internal Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to drive product improvements and strategic decisions.
• • Within your first month, you will immerse yourself in Sourcegraph's products, value propositions, customer base, and internal processes. You'll begin building strong, trusting relationships with your colleagues across Sales, Field Engineering, Customer Success, and Support teams. You will also join customer calls to observe and learn how Sourcegraph delivers impact and get demo-certified.
• • By the three-month mark, you will take increasing ownership of customer relationships, actively lead early-stage technical conversations, and begin contributing to internal initiatives by identifying and proposing solutions to challenges and gaps.
• • Within six months, you are expected to establish yourself as a thought leader and evangelist for Sourcegraph. You will leverage your expertise to educate prospective customers on innovative ways to maximize value from our platform and will begin mentoring and training teammates, prospects, and new hires.
• • This role demands a proactive, results-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a knack for uncovering customer "a-ha" moments. You will be expected to be technically adept, curious, and a natural problem-solver.
• • You will be responsible for crafting and delivering compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations that resonate with sophisticated technical audiences, including developers and engineering leaders.
• • You will contribute to the development of internal capabilities by participating in Solutions Engineer-led projects, enhancing our footprint both internally and externally, and positively impacting our business and customer success.
• • The role requires a strategic mindset to identify opportunities and devise solutions for both internal and external challenges, utilizing your technical skills to implement appropriate resolutions.
• • You will also play a role in building essential resources such as tools, templates, and technical enablement collateral to support the broader team and customer adoption.
• • An organized approach to managing multiple concurrent opportunities, making difficult prioritization decisions, and using data to inform your strategies will be critical for success.
