- • As a Senior Specialty Account Manager at Halozyme Therapeutics, you will drive new prescriptions for innovative drug delivery products by educating, influencing, and selling to targeted medical specialists including urologists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, and primary care providers, directly contributing to improved patient access to life-changing therapies and advancing the company’s mission to reinvent the patient experience.
- • You will deliver science-based, company-approved sales presentations to prescribers and their office staff, leveraging segmentation data to customize messaging, maintain deep expertise in managed care plans and reimbursement policies, and educate healthcare teams on product use and patient self-injection techniques to ensure seamless therapy adoption and sustained market penetration.
- • You will operate as a trusted scientific and business partner within a collaborative, One Team culture that values diversity, innovation, and collective success, working cross-functionally to overcome access barriers and support Halozyme’s growth in specialty pharmaceutical markets.
- • You will maintain in-depth knowledge of disease states, product labels, payer programs, and market dynamics to engage in credible, value-driven conversations with physicians, nurses, hospital administrators, and payers, positioning Halozyme as a leader in drug delivery innovation.
- • You will build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem, using strong negotiation and communication skills to overcome objections, drive prescription pull-through, and achieve territory goals while adhering to all compliance and ethical standards.
- • You will travel as required to meet with clients in their practice settings, including occasional overnight and weekend visits, ensuring consistent face-to-face engagement that fosters trust and drives results in a competitive specialty pharmaceutical landscape.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience selling specialty pharmaceutical products; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- • Proven ability to conduct effective sales calls, build rapport with healthcare professionals, deliver presentations using electronic equipment, and navigate complex interactions with physicians, nurses, payers, and hospital administrators.
- • Strong knowledge of prescription pull-through tactics, managed care insurance plans, state and federal reimbursement policies, and Halozyme product labels to ensure uninterrupted patient access.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong negotiation abilities to influence prescribing behavior and overcome access barriers.
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with willingness and ability to travel as required, including overnight and weekend trips.
