📋 Description

• Lead the design and implementation of complex API architectures using advanced API Design and API Management principles to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions for enterprise clients.
• Develop and implement secure authentication and authorization strategies for API services, applying industry best practices in Cybersecurity to protect data and systems.
• Drive the adoption of automation technologies including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to optimize development workflows and reduce time-to-deployment.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of innovation, code quality, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Manage the technical scope, planning, and execution of client projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery with clear milestones and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate directly with clients and internal cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver tailored API solutions.
• Leverage deep proficiency in Docker, Git, and Linux environments to develop, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain API management systems in production-grade settings.
• Act as a subject matter expert throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with architectural standards.
• Perform complex System Integration tasks across heterogeneous platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability between legacy systems, cloud services, and modern microservices.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges in real-time, applying strong problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and maximize system reliability.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between clients and internal engineering teams, delivering clear, concise, and effective Technical Communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Utilize expertise in Kong’s API platform (Kong Konnect) to configure, customize, and extend API management capabilities to meet specific client needs and use cases.
• Stay current with evolving trends in API governance, security protocols, and cloud-native technologies to ensure solutions remain cutting-edge and compliant with industry standards.
• Document technical designs, integration workflows, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability of deployed solutions.
• Participate in client demonstrations, proof-of-concept implementations, and technical workshops to showcase Kong’s platform capabilities and drive adoption.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and client satisfaction.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, software architecture, or senior development role
• Demonstrable expertise in API Design and API Management platforms (experience with Kong is highly regarded)
• In-depth knowledge of Authentication and Authorization protocols and best practices
• Proven experience with Automation Technology, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery pipelines
• Strong understanding of Cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
• Proficiency in Docker, Git, and Linux operating systems
