  • • As a Senior Statistical Programmer at Syneos Health, you will play a pivotal role in the clinical development process, leveraging your expertise in SAS programming and CDISC standards to generate critical data outputs for pharmaceutical research.
  • • You will be responsible for developing custom programming code using SAS or other relevant software to produce comprehensive summary tables, data listings, graphs, and derived datasets. These outputs are essential for analyzing clinical trial data and will be generated according to detailed statistical analysis plans and programming specifications.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve ensuring the highest quality of all generated outputs, meticulously checking that they meet project requirements and industry standards. This includes performing validation programming and collaborating closely with other programmers, biostatisticians, and project team members to identify and resolve any discrepancies or findings.
  • • You will maintain clear and organized project documentation, including testing and verification/quality control documents and programs, ensuring that all project-related materials are inspection-ready at all times.
  • • Proactive project management is key; you will manage scheduling and time constraints across multiple projects simultaneously, setting realistic goals based on management priorities and adapting your daily workload to accommodate changes in timelines or priorities.
  • • You will develop detailed specifications for datasets and outputs of varying complexity, ensuring they align with both statistical requirements and sponsor expectations. This involves anticipating potential programming challenges, demonstrating foresight to establish efficient programming practices, and accurately defining all variables to facilitate peer review and sponsor acceptance with minimal rework.
  • • Your contribution extends to internal team collaboration. You will prepare for and actively participate in internal meetings, contributing valuable ideas and demonstrating respect for the opinions of others. You will also conduct effective internal meetings, ensuring appropriate format, frequency, and attendance, distributing relevant information in advance, and ensuring minutes are promptly and accurately distributed.
  • • You will take ownership of action items from meetings, ensuring they are followed through to completion, and maintain focus and order during discussions to work towards consensus.
  • • A willingness to collaborate and assist with other projects and initiatives as needed to meet business objectives is essential.
  • • You will negotiate and establish accurate time estimates for study programming activities with internal team members and management, and consistently complete project programming activities within the allotted timeframe.
  • • As a lead statistical programmer, you will direct the programming activities of other programming personnel, monitoring their progress on deliverables and providing guidance.
  • • You will review critical project documentation, including Statistical Analysis Plans, mock shells, programming specifications, annotated CRFs, and SAS database designs, providing constructive feedback to project team members that enhances efficiency and reduces rework.
  • • You will represent Syneos Health as the statistical programming representative in sponsor meetings, kickoff meetings, and bid defense meetings, as required.
  • • You will contribute to the professional development of programming personnel by developing training courses, presenting training materials, reviewing work, and providing guidance to new associates.
  • • You will be responsible for the transfer of deliverables and will perform other work-related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.
  • • This role may require minimal travel.
  • • Syneos Health is a leading fully integrated biopharmaceutical solutions organization dedicated to accelerating customer success by translating unique clinical, medical affairs, and commercial insights into outcomes that address modern market realities.
  • • Our Clinical Development model places the customer and patient at the center of everything we do, with a constant drive to simplify and streamline operations to make Syneos Health easier to work with and for.
  • • You will collaborate with passionate problem solvers in an agile and driven environment, contributing to the acceleration of therapy delivery and making a tangible impact on patients' lives.
  • • Join a global team of 29,000 employees across 110 countries who understand that 'WORK HERE MATTERS EVERYWHERE'.
  • • Syneos Health is committed to developing its people through career progression, supportive management, comprehensive training, and a robust total rewards program.
