- • Own and expand a portfolio of Fortune-500 and digitally-native enterprise brands across North America, becoming the single-threaded owner of their long-term commerce vision and the primary driver of eight-figure ARR growth.
- • Orchestrate multi-stakeholder sales cycles that average 9-18 months, navigating complex matrix organizations (IT, Digital, Merchandising, Finance, C-Suite) while translating technical capabilities into board-level business outcomes such as 30 % faster time-to-market, 25 % higher conversion, and double-digit reductions in total cost of ownership.
- • Co-create transformational roadmaps with prospects and customers—leveraging microservices, API-first, cloud-native, and headless architecture—then quarterback the entire deal process from first discovery call through procurement, legal, security, and executive sign-off, ensuring every contract is structured for mutual expansion and renewals.
- • Act as a strategic advisor during the customer lifecycle, partnering with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to identify whitespace opportunities, craft joint business plans, and secure multi-year commitments that grow annual contract value by 200 %+ within 24 months of signature.
- • Evangelize the commercetools vision at industry events, digital commerce councils, and executive roundtables, positioning yourself and the company as the definitive thought leader on composable commerce and the future of retail technology.
- • Leverage MEDDPICC and Command-of-the-Message methodologies to maintain pristine Salesforce hygiene, forecast with 95 % accuracy, and provide weekly deal inspection that enables executive leadership to make real-time investment and resource decisions.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Solutions Consulting, Marketing, and Partner Ecosystem teams to design account-based campaigns, co-sell with global SI’s (Accenture, Deloitte, EPAM), and influence product roadmap priorities based on market feedback and competitive intelligence.
- • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the sales organization by mentoring junior reps, sharing best practices across regions (EMEA, APAC), and contributing to a culture of radical candor and continuous learning that has earned commercetools a Great Place to Work certification three years running.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of quota-carrying enterprise software sales experience with a consistent track record of exceeding $2 M+ annual quotas and closing complex SaaS or PaaS deals above $500 K ARR.
- • Deep fluency in digital commerce, OMS, PIM, or adjacent MarTech ecosystems; ability to whiteboard modern commerce architectures (headless, microservices, API-first) with both CTOs and business stakeholders.
- • Demonstrated success selling to C-level executives at Fortune-500 retailers, brands, or B2B manufacturers; existing network of VP Digital, VP Commerce, or Chief Digital Officer contacts strongly preferred.
- • Expert command of MEDDPICC or MEDDICC qualification methodology and Salesforce forecasting; proficiency in value-selling frameworks (Command of the Message, Challenger, Sandler) is a plus.
