- • Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for our brand-new Cape Town hub, filling mission-critical roles that will define Tillo’s next chapter of growth. You’ll move seamlessly from sourcing passive PHP Laravel and Vue.js talent on GitHub to closing senior Platform Engineers and Data Engineers, while also flexing into high-impact Operations and Finance hires when the business calls for it.
- • Act as the strategic talent advisor to engineering, product, and GTM leaders across the UK, USA, and Australia, translating ambitious roadmaps into crystal-clear hiring plans and compelling job specs that resonate in the South African market.
- • Build and nurture a deep, evergreen pipeline of technical and non-technical candidates through creative sourcing (LinkedIn Recruiter, Stack Overflow, niche Slack communities, university honours programmes) and high-touch engagement that positions Tillo as the employer of choice in Cape Town.
- • Design and execute data-driven employer-brand campaigns alongside People and Marketing—think sold-out tech meetups at our Loop Street office, Instagram reels that showcase our hack-days, and university roadshows that put Tillo on every CS student’s radar.
- • Champion an exceptional candidate experience: from first outreach to signed offer, every interaction will reflect our values of trust, positivity, and collaboration, ensuring that even rejected talent become brand ambassadors.
- • Optimise our Ashby ATS workflows, intake templates, scorecards, and feedback loops so that hiring managers move faster, decisions are transparent, and compliance is airtight.
- • Track, analyse, and socialise key metrics—time-to-fill, offer-accept rate, diversity mix, and quality-of-hire—turning dashboards into stories that influence executive-level resourcing decisions.
- • Partner with the global People team to forecast headcount, refine compensation bands for the SA market, and ensure our EVP stays competitive against Silicon Valley and European scale-ups competing for the same talent.
- • Roll up your sleeves to create onboarding kits, referral programmes, and alumni networks that keep our Cape Town culture vibrant and our retention rates industry-leading.
