- • Own the end-to-end recruiting process for technical roles including software engineers, researchers, applied scientists, technical partnerships specialists, business development professionals, and Country Managers for new regions.
- • Design and implement strategies to attract and engage world-class, highly specialised talent from science-first companies, AI labs, and academic spin-offs, with a focus on PhD-level candidates in AI, chemistry, and engineering.
- • Act as an ambassador for CuspAI, articulating the company’s mission of AI-driven materials discovery for energy, clean water, carbon capture, and next-generation computing to candidates throughout the hiring journey.
- • Collaborate with hiring teams to draft compelling job descriptions, define role requirements, establish assessment criteria, and design efficient, engaging interview processes tailored to technical and scientific roles.
- • Run interviewer calibration sessions to ensure alignment on evaluation focus areas, refining questions and tasks based on candidate feedback and hiring outcomes.
- • Serve as a talent advisor by providing data-driven market insights on compensation, talent availability, and hiring trends within Deep Tech and AI for Materials Science.
- • Build and execute proactive outbound sourcing strategies using networks beyond LinkedIn Recruiter, including referral streams and targeted mapping of talent pools in academia and industry.
- • Deliver a high-touch, seamless candidate experience that reflects CuspAI’s values, ensuring every applicant—regardless of outcome—becomes an advocate for the company.
- • Maintain rigorous data hygiene in the ATS, generating accurate dashboards to support visibility and data-driven hiring decisions across all pipelines.
- • Agree and uphold service levels for critical recruitment tasks including application reviews, screening calls, scheduling, feedback delivery, and stakeholder updates.
- • Partner with Operations and HR to refine onboarding processes and strengthen talent infrastructure as the company scales.
- • Work closely with some of the most cited researchers in AI, chemistry, and engineering to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into effective hiring strategies.
- • Contribute to evolving CuspAI’s Talent function during its formative growth phase, helping shape company culture and scale the team thoughtfully and sustainably.
- • Spend at least a few weeks during onboarding in the Cambridge/London office to learn the platform and build in-person relationships with core teams.
- • Maintain working hours with overlap with European teams while effectively collaborating with local Singaporean partners.
- • Travel regularly to Europe and other global locations for collaboration, project work, and recruitment activities.
