  • • BlueCat Networks Inc. is a trailblazer in the rapidly evolving field of Intelligent Network Operations, offering a unique solution that bridges foundational network services with a profound, predictive understanding of network health and performance. We empower organizations to enhance their agility and significantly mitigate risks associated with high rates of change through a unified management lifecycle, encompassing everything from initial provisioning to proactive troubleshooting and remediation. As a company deeply committed to innovation and operational excellence, we are also immensely proud of our award-winning culture, recognized through prestigious certifications like 'Great Place to Work' and multiple accolades as a top Canadian workplace across various categories, including Technology, Today's Youth and Women, and Mental Health and Inclusion.
  • • As we continue our global expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax and Treasury Associate to join our dynamic Finance team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting our U.S. and international tax compliance, indirect tax operations, and related treasury activities. Reporting directly to the VP, Accounting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations in a multinational context.
  • • Your responsibilities will span critical areas of tax and treasury management. In indirect tax, you will be responsible for the meticulous preparation and timely filing of U.S. sales and use tax returns, which includes the diligent management of tax registrations and the processing of all related payments. You will also play a key part in preparing essential supporting schedules and providing accurate data to our third-party vendors for Canadian and international indirect tax filings, such as GST/HST, QST, and VAT. A significant aspect of this role involves performing thorough account reconciliations for all indirect tax balances, ensuring a precise alignment between tax filings, payments made, and the general ledger accounts. Furthermore, you will be tasked with resolving any discrepancies identified in filings and addressing inquiries from tax authorities, collaborating closely with both internal departments and external service providers to maintain seamless compliance across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • • In the realm of tax compliance and coordination, you will actively assist in the strategic coordination with our external tax advisors, facilitating the preparation of U.S. federal and international income tax filings. A key responsibility will be to lead the comprehensive collection and meticulous organization of data required for our global tax compliance efforts, ensuring that all submissions are made accurately and on time. You will also provide essential support to the annual tax provision process, assisting with the necessary reporting requirements. During the month-end close process, you will contribute by performing detailed tax account reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of our financial records.
  • • The treasury function of this role is equally vital. You will partner closely with the broader Finance team to contribute to accurate cash flow forecasting, assess borrowing needs, monitor current cash balances across various accounts, and support investment planning initiatives. A core duty will be to diligently track cash balances across all our bank accounts, ensuring that we maintain sufficient liquidity to support both our day-to-day operations and our ambitious strategic objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for the setup, review, and release of wire transfers and other critical payment transactions, adhering strictly to all company policies and internal controls to safeguard our financial assets.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing, innovative technology company. You will gain exposure to a wide range of tax and treasury functions in a multinational environment, contributing directly to the financial health and compliance of BlueCat Networks. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a collaborative setting, possesses a proactive mindset, and is eager to contribute to our continued success.
