Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the international tax strategy for one of the fastest-growing technology practices in the country. As Senior Tax Manager, International Technology at Aprio, you will sit at the intersection of cutting-edge innovation and sophisticated cross-border tax planning, guiding venture-backed start-ups, SaaS unicorns, and global tech giants through the maze of multi-jurisdictional compliance, transfer-pricing, and tax-efficient structuring.
  • • Drive revenue and market share by developing and executing a targeted business-development plan for the international technology vertical. You will identify whitespace in key tech corridors (Atlanta, Austin, Boston, San Francisco, New York, and beyond), cultivate C-suite relationships, and convert prospects into long-term, high-value engagements. Your pipeline will directly influence Aprio’s double-digit annual growth trajectory.
  • • Serve as the primary relationship partner for marquee clients—think pre-IPO cloud platforms, AI/ML scale-ups, and multinational semiconductor manufacturers—delivering bespoke tax planning, ASC 740 provisions, IC-DISC optimization, R&D credit studies, and post-acquisition integration support. Your technical insight will help founders, CFOs, and PE sponsors unlock cash savings, reduce effective tax rates, and accelerate global expansion.
  • • Translate complex legislative changes—OECD Pillar Two, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Section 174 amortization—into actionable roadmaps. You will monitor regulatory bulletins daily, distill technical guidance into plain-English talking points, and lead quarterly client roundtables that position Aprio as the go-to thought leader for international tech tax matters.
  • • Architect and review multi-entity consolidated federal returns, Forms 5471/8858/8865, transfer-pricing documentation, and FIN 48 memos. Your review stamp will signal the highest level of technical accuracy, risk mitigation, and strategic insight, ensuring every filing withstands IRS, Big-4, and board-level scrutiny.
  • • Mentor a high-performing pod of managers, seniors, and staff—many of whom are pursuing CPA, MST, or JD credentials—through formal development plans, real-time coaching, and stretch assignments. Your leadership will shape the next generation of Aprio partners while reinforcing a culture of curiosity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams—audit, advisory, valuation, and transaction services—to deliver integrated solutions. Whether modeling the tax impact of a SPAC merger or structuring a cross-border IP migration, you will ensure every technical thread is woven into a cohesive client narrative.
  • • Leverage Aprio’s tech stack—CCH Axcess, Alteryx, Power BI, and proprietary AI tools—to automate compliance workflows, surface predictive analytics, and create board-ready dashboards. Your digital fluency will reduce cycle times, elevate client experience, and set new benchmarks for operational excellence.
  • • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the tax practice and across the firm. From sponsoring Women in Tech Tax forums to leading recruiting efforts at HBCUs and Hispanic-serving institutions, you will help Aprio mirror the innovation economy it serves.
  • • Enjoy the freedom of a hybrid work model that blends remote flexibility with intentional in-person collaboration in 15 major U.S. metros. Whether you prefer the energy of Manhattan, the startup vibe of Austin, or the mountain views of Denver, you can craft a schedule that fuels both productivity and lifestyle.
