- • As a Senior Technical Product Manager on Unity’s Engine Product team, you will play a pivotal role in defining product requirements with deep technical input on customer needs, value, and measurability, leveraging hands-on game development experience to guide strategy.
- • You will define and execute the roadmap for Unity Engine’s core technology, including scripting, CoreCLR, compilation, Burst, and Entities, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility, business priorities, and user needs.
- • Day to day, you will partner with Engineering, Quality, Design, Documentation, and Program Management to identify goals, prioritize features based on data and user feedback, drive cross-team delivery, and remove roadblocks to ensure timely execution.
- • You will facilitate customer feedback loops, conduct hands-on testing and demos to verify deliveries, and collaborate across product teams to minimize redundant feature code and ensure seamless integration.
- • You will work with Unity Studio Productions and Customer Success organizations to gather insights, conduct market and competitive analysis, and translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- • This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of a game engine used by over 3 billion monthly users, impacting industries beyond gaming — including automotive, healthcare, and XR — while working with cutting-edge technologies like DOTS, ECS, and high-performance systems.
- • You will grow your influence as a technical leader without direct authority, mastering stakeholder alignment, roadmap planning, and the art of translating complex systems into actionable product vision.
🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive experience with Unity, C#, Entities, Burst, and data-oriented design (or similar systems in another engine), with a solid understanding of how developers integrate these technologies.
- • Prior experience in video game development working with Unity, Unreal, or proprietary game engines.
- • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of simplifying and articulating complex technical concepts to engineers and senior executives alike.
- • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering collaboration and productivity.
- • Strong skills in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder management.
- • Solid understanding of computer architecture, memory, and cache behavior.
