  • • As a Senior Technical Recruiter at BILL Holdings, Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping the future of financial automation by building high-performing technical teams. This pivotal role extends beyond traditional recruitment, positioning you as a strategic advisor to hiring managers and leadership across critical departments such as Engineering, Data Science, and Product.
  • • You will own the full recruitment lifecycle for complex technical roles, from initial intake meetings and strategic sourcing to candidate assessment, debrief sessions, and the final offer negotiation and close. Your expertise will be crucial in attracting and securing top-tier talent in a competitive market.
  • • Develop and execute innovative, targeted sourcing strategies designed to identify and engage passive, high-caliber candidates. This involves leveraging a diverse range of channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search strings, industry-specific platforms, and creative outreach methods to tap into both traditional and non-traditional talent pools.
  • • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to hiring managers, providing expert consultation on talent market trends, role profiling, and setting ambitious, bar-raising hiring standards. Your insights will directly influence selection decisions and ensure the recruitment of candidates who not only possess the required skills but also align with BILL's culture and long-term vision.
  • • Conduct rigorous, high-quality candidate evaluations, employing structured behavioral interviewing techniques and competency-based assessment frameworks. The goal is to ensure a thorough and objective evaluation process that predicts long-term success and fit within the organization.
  • • Proactively analyze recruitment funnel health and key performance metrics. Identify potential bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement, and develop data-driven recommendations to enhance the speed, quality, and overall effectiveness of the hiring process.
  • • Act as a dedicated brand ambassador for BILL, ensuring every candidate receives an exceptional, high-touch experience throughout their recruitment journey. Your interactions will embody BILL's core values, leaving candidates with a positive and lasting impression of the company.
  • • Strategize and manage offer negotiations with precision and diplomacy. This involves a deep understanding of candidate motivations, current market compensation data, and internal compensation parameters to facilitate successful and mutually beneficial closes.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of BILL's recruitment processes and employer brand by sharing insights, best practices, and innovative approaches.
  • • Collaborate closely with other members of the talent acquisition team, sharing knowledge and supporting collective goals.
  • • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in technical recruiting and the broader fintech industry to maintain a competitive edge.
  • • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout the recruitment process, actively seeking out and engaging candidates from underrepresented backgrounds to build a more diverse and innovative workforce.
  • • Utilize data and market intelligence to advise on compensation strategies, talent availability, and competitive landscapes for critical technical roles.
  • • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering leaders, product managers, and HR business partners, fostering a collaborative approach to talent acquisition.
  • • Navigate the complexities of a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive problem-solving mindset to overcome recruitment challenges.
  • • Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience, acting as a primary point of contact and providing timely, transparent communication at every stage of the hiring process.
  • • Drive the recruitment process for a variety of technical roles, including but not limited to Software Engineers (various levels and specializations), Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Product Managers, and other specialized technical positions.
  • • Develop and implement effective onboarding strategies in partnership with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • • Contribute to employer branding initiatives by participating in relevant industry events, webinars, or content creation, showcasing BILL as an employer of choice in the fintech space.
  • • Maintain a high level of data integrity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of recruitment metrics.
  • • Embrace a continuous learning mindset, actively seeking opportunities to expand technical recruiting knowledge and refine best practices.
  • • Play a key role in building BILL's reputation as a destination for top technical talent, driven by a mission to empower businesses through financial automation.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of progressive technical recruiting experience, with a proven track record of successfully sourcing, engaging, and closing high-quality talent in competitive domains such as Engineering, Data Science, or Product Management.
  • • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing advanced sourcing techniques, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and identifying passive candidates through diverse and non-traditional channels.
  • • Strong ability to engage and influence technical hiring managers and stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor and providing data-driven insights to inform hiring decisions.
  • • Proficiency in conducting structured behavioral interviews and assessing technical skills and cultural fit.
  • • Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), with Greenhouse experience being a strong preference.
