- • As Zip's inaugural Senior Technical Recruiter based in Toronto, you will be instrumental in shaping the engineering teams that drive the innovation and future product development of our company. This is a high-impact role where you will forge a close partnership with our Head of Engineering and various hiring managers, with the primary objective of building and scaling a world-class Engineering organization.
- • You will own the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle, from the initial stages of strategic sourcing and candidate engagement through to the final offer negotiation and closing. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and executing innovative strategies to attract top-tier technical talent, ensuring a seamless and exceptional candidate experience at every touchpoint.

- • Your responsibilities will extend to building and refining scalable recruiting processes that are designed to support Zip's ambitious growth trajectory. This includes developing robust talent pipelines, implementing effective screening and assessment methodologies, and providing data-driven insights to guide hiring decisions.
- • You will be tasked with creatively identifying, attracting, and engaging a diverse pool of high-caliber Software Engineering candidates. This involves leveraging a wide array of sourcing channels and employing sophisticated talent mapping techniques to uncover passive candidates who possess the skills and experience necessary to excel at Zip.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to cultivate and maintain a substantial, high-quality pipeline of candidates for critical Software Development roles. This requires a strategic balance between addressing immediate hiring needs and building a long-term talent bench for future requirements.
- • You will collaborate closely with Zip's founders, the Head of Engineering, and other senior leadership members to meticulously define hiring objectives, articulate ideal candidate profiles, and co-create go-to-market recruiting strategies that align with business goals.
- • Acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, you will provide invaluable market intelligence, competitive landscape analysis, and data-backed recommendations to inform their hiring strategies and decision-making processes.
- • You will meticulously screen, vet, and guide candidates through every stage of the interview and hiring process, always prioritizing a positive and engaging candidate experience.
- • This role demands strong cross-functional collaboration with the Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and People teams to ensure alignment, facilitate smooth hiring processes, and successfully land key hires.
- • You will take the lead on compensation discussions and offer negotiations, which will include navigating complex startup equity packages, ensuring competitive and attractive offers are extended.
- • A critical component of your success will be tracking and analyzing key recruiting metrics and performance indicators. This data will be used to continuously optimize our recruiting processes, enhance conversion rates at each stage of the funnel, and ensure our hiring efforts scale effectively with the company's growth.
- • You will be responsible for building and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leadership, leveraging these relationships to influence strategic hiring decisions and achieve optimal hiring outcomes.
