📋 Description

• The Senior Vice President, Claims Advocacy – Management and Financial Lines leads the claims advocacy strategy and execution for complex management and professional liability claims, including D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime/Fidelity, and Cyber, providing executive-level counsel to clients, producers, and internal leadership to achieve timely, equitable outcomes aligned with policy intent and client objectives.
• This role is critical to Relation Insurance Services’ mission of delivering cutting-edge insurance solutions, serving as a senior technical and thought leader who shapes claims strategy, drives process alignment across specialty practices, and leverages data and technology—including proprietary AI—to enhance client protection and program effectiveness.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as the senior claims advocate and strategic advisor for Management & Professional Lines claims, leading proactive coverage analysis and claims strategy, owning oversight of the full claims lifecycle from notice through resolution, and chairing claims review and strategy meetings to deliver executive-level reporting and risk assessments.
• The SVP acts as the primary senior liaison with insurers, claims executives, and external counsel to resolve complex coverage, defense, and settlement issues, directs escalation of high-severity or disputed claims using formal protocols, and provides strategic guidance on defense counsel selection, settlement authority, and negotiation strategy.
• Additional duties involve leading claim and reserve reviews to identify trends and systemic issues, translating claims data into actionable insights for renewal strategy and market negotiations, advising on policy wording enhancements, and designing and delivering advanced internal and client-facing claims education to elevate claims literacy and value perception.
• The role also includes contributing to strategic planning and evolution of the Management & Professional Lines practice, adopting innovative technology into service processes, and performing other projects and duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressive claims, legal, or insurance experience with a focus on Management & Financial Lines (including D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime/Fidelity, and Cyber).
• Property and Casualty License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained; Surplus Lines License strongly preferred.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills, with demonstrated expertise in coverage interpretation, complex claims strategy, and insurer negotiations, plus ability to manage multiple complex claims and stakeholder relationships simultaneously under tight deadlines.
