đź“‹ Description

  • • As an SEO Strategist (Remote Canada) at Directive Consulting LLC, you will play a pivotal role in driving measurable revenue growth for B2B SaaS and enterprise clients by designing and executing data-informed SEO and content strategies that align with the company’s proprietary Customer Generation methodology—moving beyond vanity metrics to impact pipeline, SQLs, and long-term brand scalability.
  • • You will own end-to-end client strategy development and execution, serving as the primary client-facing expert responsible for translating business goals into actionable SEO initiatives, managing cross-functional collaboration with writers, designers, and specialists, and ensuring all deliverables meet rigorous quality and performance standards while fostering trusted, consultative relationships.
  • • Directive Consulting is a high-performance, remote-first B2B marketing agency known for its elite talent, bold innovation, and commitment to delivering real revenue—not just leads—serving ambitious SaaS and technology brands that demand strategic depth and execution excellence in competitive markets.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive SEO audits, performing keyword research and competitive analysis, optimizing on-page elements, developing link-building strategies, and leveraging tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics to inform strategy and track performance against North Star Metrics (NSMs).
  • • You will set, track, and report on client goals using CRM data, analytics platforms, and performance dashboards, ensuring alignment with client objectives and securing approval from your Associate Director before presenting to clients during bi-weekly strategy sessions.
  • • You will manage project timelines and task execution using Asana, delegating work to internal specialists and coordinating with client teams to ensure timely delivery of content campaigns, technical SEO fixes, and performance optimizations while maintaining clear communication channels via Slack and Zoom.
  • • You will proactively communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to clients and internal leadership, sharing insights on NSM attainment, campaign performance, and potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities, while building deep, human-centered relationships that position you as a trusted advisor.
  • • You will produce regular reporting cadences including bi-weekly client meetings, monthly performance summaries, quarterly strategic reviews, and bi-annual business review presentations, translating complex SEO data into clear, actionable narratives that demonstrate ROI and inform future strategy.
  • • You will actively identify and pursue growth opportunities within client accounts—such as expanding into additional service lines (e.g., Paid Media, CRO) or increasing budget allocations—and proactively seek referrals at key moments like client point-of-contact changes or milestone achievements.
  • • You will stay ahead of industry trends, particularly in AI and automation, continuously learning and applying emerging techniques to enhance SEO efficiency, content scalability, and campaign performance, contributing to Directive’s culture of innovation and thought leadership.
  • • You will uphold Directive’s best practices in LTV:CAC modeling, Share of SERP analysis, Content Production frameworks, and Customer Generation principles to ensure strategies are holistic, sustainable, and directly tied to revenue outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven track record in implementing SEO principles including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building with measurable results in B2B tech or SaaS environments
  • • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog to interpret traffic, rankings, and technical SEO data
  • • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building abilities, with experience managing stakeholder expectations and presenting complex strategies clearly
  • • Demonstrated organizational and project management expertise, including proficiency in Asana for task delegation, timeline tracking, and cross-team coordination
  • • Minimum of 2 years of agency experience working with B2B technology or SaaS clients

🏖️ Benefits

  • • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for employees, with 50% employer contribution for dependents, plus disability and life insurance coverage
  • • Unlimited PTO with a 2-week minimum requirement, paid company holidays, birthday off, and an annual end-of-year recharge period (closed December 24–January 1)
  • • Access to mental health support via Spring Health and Headspace membership, plus Gympass for physical wellness
  • • Traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with a 3% company match, annual tenure-based bonuses, and an annual anniversary trip with peers and executive leadership
