- • As a Service Delivery Manager - Africa at Ciena Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring end-to-end service delivery alignment between customer expectations and internal delivery capabilities across the MEA region, directly impacting customer satisfaction and project success.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include owning service delivery coordination, defining scope, planning and tracking execution, managing risks and costs, communicating status to stakeholders, contributing technical input during presales, and bridging engineering, delivery, and customer-facing teams to ensure solution deliverability.
- • You will join a global leader in high-speed connectivity that prioritizes a people-first culture, flexible work environments, and meaningful social impact, operating within a remote-first setup across South Africa with collaboration across multicultural and multi-timezone teams.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in balancing technical credibility with delivery ownership and commercial awareness, grow your influence in presales and service design, and strengthen your ability to drive complex network service engagements from concept to delivery in optical transport and networking environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of total professional experience
- • Prior experience in service delivery, project management, or service coordination roles
- • Previous hands-on experience as a network engineer
- • Background in optical transport and networking environments such as DWDM and Layer 0/Layer 1 technologies
- • Ability to operate with delivery ownership in early-stage engagements where structure may be evolving
- • Experience collaborating across time zones and multicultural teams
