This is a unique opportunity to leverage your engineering expertise and problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional value to our customers and contribute to the success of our service operations.
- • As a Service Products Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our service offerings, acting as a critical liaison between various internal departments and our valued external clients. Your primary focus will be on providing innovative and effective solutions that address the complex needs of our customers, ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of their lifting equipment.
- • You will play a pivotal role in the entire lifecycle of service product delivery, from initial customer engagement and site assessment to the final delivery of comprehensive engineering reports and recommendations. This involves a deep understanding of our product portfolio, service capabilities, and the operational challenges faced by a diverse range of industries.
- • A key responsibility will be conducting thorough field engineering inspections. This requires meticulous attention to detail as you gather critical data on-site, assessing the condition, performance, and potential issues of our equipment. You will be equipped with specialized Konecranes software tools designed for inspection and analysis, which you will master to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
- • The insights gained from these field inspections will form the basis of detailed and professional reports. You will be responsible for creating reports that not only accurately communicate all aspects of the field inspection but also present a clear and concise engineering analysis. These reports will be instrumental in guiding our customers and internal teams towards informed decision-making and proactive maintenance strategies.
- • Your expertise will be applied to developing and delivering a range of sophisticated service solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, performing and creating reports for specialized services such as Rail Q, Rail Q 3D, Crane Geometric inspections, Crane Rail System (CRS) inspection reports, and various alignment services. These services are crucial for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our customers' lifting infrastructure.
- • You will collaborate closely with field sales teams to understand customer requirements and identify opportunities where our service products can provide significant value. This involves translating customer needs into actionable engineering solutions and ensuring seamless communication throughout the sales and delivery process.
- • Furthermore, you will interface directly with our customers, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted technical advisor. Your ability to clearly explain complex technical information and provide practical solutions will be essential in fostering customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- • Close coordination with the engineering department will be necessary to ensure that the solutions you propose are technically sound, align with our product development roadmap, and meet the highest quality standards. You will also work hand-in-hand with the project management team to ensure the timely and successful execution of service projects, from initial scope definition to final project closure.
- • You will also engage with our network of service branches across the country. This collaboration is vital for understanding regional service needs, sharing best practices, and ensuring that our service offerings are consistently delivered to the highest standards across all locations.
- • The role demands a proactive and analytical mindset. You will be expected to identify potential issues before they become critical, propose preventative measures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our service products and processes.
- • Utilizing Microsoft Office Products tools, alongside specialized Konecranes software, will be a daily requirement. Proficiency in these tools will enable you to manage your workload effectively, communicate efficiently, and produce high-quality documentation.
- • This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States, providing a great work-life balance. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to Konecranes' mission of delivering innovative and sustainable lifting solutions that enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency for our customers worldwide.
- • You will have the opportunity to continuously learn and develop your skills in a challenging and rewarding environment, working with cutting-edge technology and a diverse range of industrial applications.
- • Beyond the core responsibilities, you will be expected to perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating your adaptability and commitment to the team's overall success. This might include contributing to training materials, assisting with product development feedback, or participating in cross-functional initiatives.
- • Ultimately, your success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide accurate, insightful, and valuable engineering solutions that directly impact customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the overall growth of Konecranes' service business.
