- • As a Service Sales Specialist at PerkinElmer, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s analytical service business across the UK, directly contributing to customer retention, revenue growth, and long-term service profitability by developing and managing service contracts, warranty extensions, and core service offerings such as training and software upgrades.
- • You will act as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless service delivery by collaborating with Customer Care, Inside Sales, Service Delivery, Contract Departments, and Product Support Centers to resolve issues, generate leads, and align service solutions with customer needs and strategic business objectives.

- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing market share for core services by securing and re-acquiring customers, maintaining accurate business reports and prospect lists in CRM systems (Salesforce/SAP), preparing detailed quotations, actively participating in lead generation initiatives, and providing pre- and post-sales consultation to strengthen customer relationships and drive service adoption.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Inside Sales, Service Leadership, Management, Contract Administration, and Customer Service to align on service strategies, resolve complex customer issues, and ensure consistent delivery of high-value service offerings across the UK market.
- • This role emphasizes proactive engagement — you will be expected to independently manage your pipeline while contributing to team goals, demonstrating initiative in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and adapting to a matrix organizational structure where influence without authority is key to success.
- • Through this position, you will deepen your expertise in technical service sales within the scientific instrumentation industry, build strong consultative selling skills, and gain experience navigating complex B2B sales cycles involving long-term service agreements and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
- • You will achieve measurable impact by increasing service contract renewal rates, expanding warranty attachment rates, and growing PerkinElmer’s service revenue footprint in the UK — directly supporting the company’s strategic focus on recurring revenue and customer lifetime value.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (ideally in natural sciences) or higher
- • Proven sales skills with documented success in service or technical product sales
- • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- • Proficiency in MS-Office and experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or SAP
- • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to undertake ad hoc travel to customer sites across the UK
