SIPP Technical Lead

📋 Description

• • As the SIPP Technical Lead at Upvest, you will ensure the technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence of Upvest’s Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) proposition, acting as the primary authority on UK pension legislation and bridging regulatory requirements with operational processes and the scalable investment API.
• • You will lead regulatory oversight by monitoring FCA, DWP, and HMRC developments, solve complex technical queries as the escalation point for client referrals, drive product compliance by analysing legislative changes (especially Pensions Dashboard), enhance governance by identifying risks and supporting mitigation strategies, coach and develop staff through technical training, and manage external relationships as a key technical point of contact for partners and at industry events.
• • Upvest empowers businesses to offer investment products and retirement planning solutions through its easy-to-integrate Investment API, partnering with Europe’s leading fintechs and financial institutions including DKB, Revolut, N26, and Raisin, backed by €280M in funding from investors like BlackRock, Tencent, and Bessemer Venture Partners.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in UK pension regulation, influence product and compliance strategy across Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Operations teams, develop leadership and stakeholder management skills, and contribute to scaling a market-leading SIPP infrastructure that serves millions of end-users while maintaining trust with regulators and clients.
