• • Asymmetric Research (AR), a specialized security venture deeply embedded within the L1/L2 blockchain and DeFi protocol ecosystem, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our globally distributed, fully remote team. This is an initial six-month contract engagement with a significant potential for conversion to a full-time role, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of web3 security infrastructure.
• • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the design, operation, and scaling of mission-critical blockchain infrastructure that underpins leading L1/L2 networks and DeFi protocols. You will collaborate within a high-trust environment, dedicated to delivering secure, highly available, and production-grade systems. Your contributions will be key to driving automation, enhancing reliability, and fostering operational excellence across our diverse and globally distributed environments.
• • You will take ownership of managing and maintaining a complex, globally distributed blockchain infrastructure fleet. This involves ensuring the robust health, performance, and security of the systems that are vital to our clients' operations and the integrity of the web3 space.
• • A core aspect of your role will be to design, architect, deploy, and operate production-grade infrastructure services. This requires a forward-thinking approach to building scalable and resilient systems that can withstand the demands of high-throughput blockchain networks.
• • You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices across all environments, including development, staging, and production. This ensures consistency, repeatability, and efficient management of our infrastructure, leveraging tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• • Ensuring the high availability and optimal performance of mission-critical systems is paramount. You will proactively identify potential bottlenecks, implement performance tuning strategies, and develop robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• • Your role will heavily involve contributing to the development and enhancement of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling. This includes building and refining workflows that enable faster, more reliable deployments and streamline operational tasks.
• • You will be on the front lines of monitoring system health, performance, and security. This requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to interpret complex data, and a swift, effective response to incidents, leveraging strong troubleshooting fundamentals to diagnose and resolve issues rapidly.
