📋 Description

  • • As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Qodeworld, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless and robust operation of critical banking systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high availability, performance, and scalability of our digital transformation solutions, which are built upon cutting-edge technologies like cloud engineering, artificial intelligence, and blockchain/DLT.
  • • You will be instrumental in supporting the financial and insurance sectors, as well as the manufacturing industry, by leveraging deep technological expertise and strong partnerships to deliver sustainable and value-adding IT solutions. Your work will directly contribute to clients gaining easy and safe access to scalable IT-applications and innovative business models, enhancing their productivity and competitive edge.
  • • A core aspect of this role involves participating in on-call rotations to provide immediate support for critical systems. This requires a commitment to a unique and structured 2-2-2 shift schedule: two consecutive morning shifts (09:00 AM - 06:00 PM), followed by two days off, then two consecutive afternoon shifts (05:00 PM - 02:00 AM), followed by two days off, and finally two consecutive night shifts (01:00 AM - 10:00 AM), followed by two days off. This rotation ensures continuous coverage and operational resilience.
  • • You will be responsible for resolving system incidents as they occur, employing swift and effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime and impact on users. This demands a keen analytical mind and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • • A significant part of your responsibility will be the deployment of changes into both staging and production environments. This involves close collaboration with Platform Engineers to thoroughly understand the nature and implications of these changes.
  • • You will play a key role in developing and refining the deployment pipeline, ensuring that changes are integrated smoothly, efficiently, and with minimal risk.
  • • Understanding the intricacies of system changes will be crucial for developing comprehensive observability solutions, including robust monitoring and alert systems. This proactive approach helps in identifying potential issues before they escalate.
  • • You will be tasked with developing and conducting resiliency testing solutions to ensure that our systems can withstand various failure scenarios and maintain operational integrity.
  • • Continuous enhancement of the monitoring solution is a key objective, aiming to improve detection capabilities, reduce false positives, and provide deeper insights into system performance.
  • • Creating and updating operation runbooks is essential for documenting procedures, troubleshooting steps, and best practices. This ensures consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • • Furthermore, you will be responsible for automating these operation runbooks, transforming manual processes into efficient, script-driven workflows that reduce human error and increase operational speed.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a company that has been recognized as a 'Great place to work' in the APAC region for 2022/23, underscoring our commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and empowering work environment.
  • • You will be part of an organization that encourages professional growth, allowing you to explore your potential and seek out opportunities that add significant value. At GFT, diversity, equality, and inclusion are not just buzzwords but core tenets of our identity and strategy.
  • • The position requires a strong understanding of production system access and control, production deployment strategies, and proficiency in essential technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes.
  • • Experience with continuous deployment practices and systems observability is fundamental to success in this role, enabling you to build and maintain highly reliable systems.
  • • You will contribute to GFT's mission of pioneering digital transformation by ensuring the operational excellence of the platforms that power our clients' businesses.
