- • **Master Desktop Investigations** – Roughly 90 % of your work is performed from your home office, leveraging proprietary and commercial data sources (TLO, LexisNexis, CLEAR, Accurint, social-media deep dives, courthouse portals, DMV feeds, and more). You’ll build comprehensive locate packets that include current addresses, phone numbers, employment data, vehicle registrations, and known associates—always cross-validated for accuracy.
- • **Conduct Ethical Pretext Calls** – When a paper trail runs cold, you’ll pick up the phone. Using carefully scripted, legally compliant pretext scenarios, you will discreetly confirm an individual’s whereabouts without compromising the investigation or violating privacy statutes. Your ability to build instant rapport and read vocal cues will turn a 30-second conversation into actionable intelligence.
- • **Collaborate with Field Teams** – Once you’ve locked in a location, you’ll hand off pristine locate reports to our nationwide network of process servers and surveillance investigators. You’ll brief them on risk factors (gated communities, aggressive dogs, hostile relatives) and remain on standby for real-time clarifications that ensure successful service of process.
- • **Interview Human Sources** – Neighbors, former co-workers, landlords, and even ex-spouses often hold the key. You’ll conduct brief, tactful interviews—sometimes cold-calling, sometimes via social media messaging—to corroborate data and gather fresh leads, always documenting statements verbatim for chain-of-custody requirements.
- • **Maintain Bulletproof Documentation** – Every search string, database hit, and phone call is logged in our case-management system with timestamps and source citations. Your reports must withstand scrutiny from opposing counsel, judges, and regulators; clarity, completeness, and compliance are non-negotiable.
- • **Prioritize & Multi-Caseload** – You’ll juggle 30–50 active locates at once, each with its own deadline (statute of limitations, court filing dates, or client SLA). Using color-coded trackers and daily stand-ups, you’ll triage by urgency, escalate red flags, and still hit a 48-hour average turnaround on routine requests.
- • **Drive Continuous Improvement** – Spot a new data aggregator? Found a faster skip pattern? You’ll present findings in monthly knowledge-shares, helping the team shave minutes off every search and raising our success rate above the current 92 % industry benchmark.
- • **Uphold Ethical & Legal Standards** – You’ll operate within FDCPA, GLBA, FCRA, and state privacy laws. Any gray-area tactic is run past our General Counsel first. Integrity isn’t just policy—it’s what keeps our clients out of headlines and our investigators out of court.

🎯 Requirements
- • 2–5 years of hands-on investigative, skip-tracing, or service-of-process experience in a law firm, court system, law-enforcement agency, or specialized investigations company
- • Demonstrated proficiency with commercial investigative databases (TLOxp, LexisNexis Accurint, CLEAR, IDI, etc.) and public-records portals
- • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Communications, or related field strongly preferred; substantial relevant experience may substitute
- • Fluent bilingual communication (English + Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin) given preference due to diverse caseload demographics
- • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—you will speak with strangers daily and draft court-ready reports nightly
- • Proven ability to manage 30+ concurrent assignments while meeting tight, court-driven deadlines without compromising accuracy or compliance
