- • As an SMB Sales Account Executive at Block, Inc. (Square), you will play a pivotal role in helping small and medium-sized businesses thrive by introducing them to Square’s integrated ecosystem of commerce and financial tools. Your work directly empowers merchants to grow, compete, and succeed in an evolving marketplace.
- • Day to day, you will lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and outreach to closing deals and ensuring smooth onboarding—while collaborating with Product and Marketing teams to align solutions with market needs. You’ll engage SMB merchants across industries like food & drink, retail, services, and health & beauty through consultative, high-activity sales efforts, using email and phone to build trust and long-term relationships.
- • You’ll join a mission-driven team at Block, a company that has evolved from enabling simple payments to building omnichannel solutions that include inventory management, buy now pay later, appointments, loyalty, payroll, and embedded financial services. Square partners with sellers of all sizes, helping them scale with tools that grow alongside their businesses.
- • In this role, you’ll develop expertise in consultative selling, market-driven go-to-market strategies, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll sharpen your ability to read business opportunities, adapt quickly to new challenges, and inspire confidence in customers—building a foundation for long-term success in sales and entrepreneurship enablement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role
- • BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience
- • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- • Experience or strong interest in helping SMB sellers succeed
- • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to build trust via email and phone
- • Ability to gather internal and external support to position Square competitively
